The experience was simply amazing, and we were lucky to fully enjoy it. Our guide, Peter, was wonderful—kind, attentive, and very professional. He took the time to explain everything in detail and also shared the history of the place, which made it all even more special. Everything was perfectly organized. I highly recommend this company and especially our guide Peter.

We booked the puffin tour and had such a great time! Pick up was included and it didn’t take long to be well on our way to the island. The boat ride was a bit rocky but short, so no worries there. We saw elephant rock, and after that we went straight to the puffins! What an experience! The whole day was packed with nice activities and the guide allowed us plenty time for exploration at every stop. The only thing I would have like differently was lunch. It was not a great restaurant and would have preferred to go out on our own. But that is our personal preference. Would definitely recommend this organization!

My group of four joined Arctic Adventures for a 6-Day Tour across Iceland and words cannot describe how PERFECT our trip was! And this is truly thanks to our tour guide/driver Kristijan! He was so outgoing, welcoming, organized, funny, friendly and knowledgeable! The chemistry of our small group was also perfect and we all had a great time. Clean hotels, great activities, adventurous and comfy van! We all appreciate Kristijan so much! Shoutout to him!

A great visit to Vestmannaeyjar and our guide Siggy was very informative. He was kind enough to add 10 minutes to the scheduled 35 minutes for a sit down lunch but it was not enough time to seat a large party, group order, retrieve/receive food and consume plus a restroom break. I recommend a boozy beverage to go and the nearby bakery or fast food. Tour was great though! Thank you, Siggy!

We had an extremely distressing experience with them … in terms of their unprofessional guide and even were victims of racism. Would not encourage anyone to book via this company.

We had a great tour guide who showed and taught us all about the ins and outs of glaciers. Had a fun, safe, educational, and very enjoyable experience - highly recommend.

Tour was great, but it was a bit odd that we signed up for Arctic Adventures but got put on a Southcoast Adventures vehicle. I thought they were different companies.

We went on the new Glacier Tour: "Crevasse Labyrinth - A Glacier Maze in Skaftafell". It was very organized and our tour guide was very informative. It is the perfect amount of "hands on" learning about glaciers in Iceland. We were able to climb into a few crevasses, and that allowed for great photos. I recommend this tour and Arctic Adventures. Side Note - We went to the 9am tour (in Skaftafell), and we couldn't see any cars in the parking lot from the main road. It seemed like we were the only ones there, so were were unsure if it was the right location. It wasn't until after we entered the parking lot (and passed the camera that scans for paying) that we saw several cars & other tourists. Perhaps the parking lot fills up more later in the day and you're able to see cars/people from street, but at 8:45am on the day we went, we could not!

Great first experience on a glacier for myself and family. Very doable for our 9 yr old. Helmets, harness, crampons, and ice axes included. Learned a lot about glaciers and particularly about Sólheimajökull . We will definitely be back to Iceland and signing up for more ice time with Arctic Adventures!

Our guide, Franklin from Arctic Adventure, provided us with a full-day, informative, and educational tour to Westman Islands--including puffins, beluga whales, sheep, volcanoes, lava fields, Elephant Rock, the Eldheimar museum, a lovely local restaurant for lunch, and ice cream before departing on the ferry back to the mainland. Franklin was engaging and had us laughing all along the way with his stories and singing performances. He delivered information and background on the tectonic plates as we traveled over the mountain and highlights of the multiple communities on the 2-hour drive to the ferry. Also, Franklin gave us clear and concise directions for meeting him when the ferry docked on the island and back to the mainland. He was attentive to timing to make the most of each of our stops. We began the day very early, and our first stop was where we learned all about and enjoyed our first encounter with Icelandic hot dogs and the value of chocolate milk with them. We will forever remember this truly great tour, which set the stage for a successful Icelandic adventure.

We did the crevasse labyrinth our guides were Ivo and Josh, they were absolutely fantastic. They were very informative and personal. They took their time explaining the formations and even explained how the Vikings used rocks to make their homes more water resistant.

I did the 4 day Golden Circle, South Coast and one day Highlands hike in June. Everything was absolutely wonderful from our Guide, Siggi to the accommodation and all the activities that were packed in. Just a note: the 4th day to the highlands is a separate tour. You are dropped at a hotel day 3 (it was only me from the 3 day tour) and picked up by a big bus the next morning that is coming from Reykjavík for the one day highlands tour. This should be stated on the website. It does save 2 hours driving time of you are thinking about doing the one day trip to the Highlands but I signed up thinking it was one tour for 4 days. You don’t find out until after you’ve signed up that it’s 2 different tours.

The glacier tour itself was really nice, and the guide was excellent — friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. The landscape was stunning, and overall the tour was well organized and enjoyable. However, I was disappointed by their boot policy. They required all participants to wear hiking boots with ankle support, even though I had proper hiking shoes. I had researched this in advance and couldn’t find any scientific evidence that ankle support significantly reduces injuries. Still, they wouldn’t let me join unless I paid an extra 1,500 Krones to rent their boots. I even asked if they could provide them free of charge given the circumstances, but they declined. What made this worse is that I already had good hiking shoes, and the ankle boots didn’t add any real safety value. This left me with the impression that it was more about making extra money than ensuring safety. In general, during my time in Iceland, I’ve felt that there’s often an effort to charge extra for every little thing — and this situation really reinforced that feeling. Honestly, they could just include the boot cost in the ticket price instead of making it feel like an extra fee sprung on you at the last minute. Great tour though.

Great team that was well organized and fun to be around! Loved the knowledge our guide Sinead shared throughout the snorkeling tour. Highly recommend! Ivo, our guide for the glacier hike was great! Ivo’s knowledge of Iceland history and the workings of the glacier were top notch! Also highly recommend!
