I did the Puffin Express tour and it was great! Tour guide Joe was very knowledgeable and also good with the kids on our tour. The boat was a good size - not too big, not too small. If you get motion sickness, I recommend taking Dramamine beforehand. I did and I was glad that I did - the waves get pretty choppy when you get further out. I didn’t get wet besides the tiniest bit of mist when we were going fast. The captain turned the boat around multiple times when we were by the island, so both sides of the boat got to see the puffins up close.

My son and I took a 6 day around Iceland tour utilizing Arctic Adventures. It was MAGNIFICENT! And our tour guide Hilmar Hanson was the main reason. Hilmar was the perfect tour guide. Seriously, perfect. He shared such detail not only about the main tourist attractions that were included but between the highlights in the brochures. His knowledge of the country as a whole, the towns, the farms, the industrial climate and political issues of the day. He seemed to know it all!!! His driving was efficient and safe and on schedule. He always knew when and where was a good place for “bathrooms, coffee and chocolate”!! He filled the gaps between with stories, definitions, analysis of ongoing local issues without taking sides. If we held him to giving us his opinion he was gentle in his response and said ‘we will see what happens’. Such a positive individual. At the main attractions he knew where the best photos could be secured; he knew if we would get wet at several waterfalls and what was most enjoyable from the many menus we sampled. Request Hilmar if you can!! Our glacier hike was guided by “ Iga”. An incredibly experienced young lady that had our safety and “glacier limits” in mind. She taught us so much about glaciers, the history and future of these natural phenomenons! If you go to Iceland, look these two people up!

Die Buchung (Schneemobiltour) und auch der telefonische Support bei einer Buchungsfrage liefen reibungslos und ich hatte selten einen so freundlichen Menschen am Telefon. Das Treffen am Meetingpoint (wir haben ohne Shuttle dorthin gebucht) lief ohne Probleme. Das Einkleiden an der Basis war ebenfalls routiniert und schnell erledigt. A Fantastic Trip: Review of 3-Day Golden Circle, Ice Cave and Glacier Lagoon Absolutely incredible experience with Arctic Adventures and the guide Hjalti Bjornsson. The pick up from the bus stop was easy and the instructions were super clear. Be aware that they are extremely punctual at every stop. Do not be late by even a minute. We saw so many sites and the weather was perfect for most of the days. Our guide even took us on some stops that were not in the itinerary, but ones he thought were interesting and on the way, like the power plants and some other glaciers. The bus ride was very smooth with plenty of room and the seats were comfortable. The itinerary was well thought out with a great mix of light walking about 3 - 6 miles per day depending on how much you wanted to walk to each site. Some sites like the glacier Skaftafellsjokull (optional) were further away (4 ish miles), while others were much closer (1000ft). The hotel was situated in a beautiful location with sheep everywhere and interesting rock formations. The hotel was very comfortable with hot water and plenty of space to spread out. Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone between the ages 10 - 70. However, this might not be the best experience for those with mobility issues as there is walking to some of the best sites.

Should be 10 stars for our guide Christian. We did the Glacier Xtreme as a family of 5 (3 kids in early 20s and parents). Great family team builder and Christian had us all scaling multiple ice walls. Plan for at least an 8 hour day, and you will love every minute of it. GREAT EXPERIENCE!
