Wine Tour

Well worth doing. The wine was lovely and we learnt a lot about the history of the region as well as the different wines. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Incredible city building that defies the laws of gravity!

We did our own half-day tour. When driving from Sarlat to Rocamadour, be sure to include the town of La Cave. The Château perched on the rocky cliff face is a sight to behold and gives you a pre-teste of what is coming at Rocamadour. By using this route, you will arrive at the top car parks at Rocamadour, assisting your visit. The walk to the village of this famous religious city, which clings to a vertiginous rock face, along the foot path, offers fantastic views of the remarkable buildings. The architecture defies the laws of gravity to soar towards God. The city was built by and for pilgrims. You simply must pay Rocamadour a visit.

Excellent tour!!

The tour was amazing!! We loved each winery visit as the tastings were delicious and we learned about each family’s history and wine making process! We also loved our guide Pauline! She made the day so special for our whole group and we really loved the opportunity to explore the little town and loved all of her recommendations for places to eat and things to see!

Fun and informative wine tour in Burgundy

This was a terrific tour! Adam was very informative and delightful. We covered the beautiful valley from top to bottom. The first winery we stopped at was especially interesting with the various rooms and antiques; the wines were excellent. The last one, however, seemed overbooked and we were outside in the heat for our tasting. The van was full and sometimes uncomfortable. However, overall the tour was very informative in a beautiful setting with very good wines to taste and a delightful guide. I would do this again!

Guide was knowledgable about the geography and history of the area, although there was not much information about the wine itself (e.g. notes of the wine), and it could have been more engaging. The main complaint would be that the wine portions were very small, so it didn’t feel like good value for money. I have done several wine tastings in other areas of France which have had much more generous portions - there was definitely no need for the buckets! So it was quite underwhelming and disappointing overall.

Good overview of WWII

Good overview of WWII. Well-structured explanation of the events leading up to D-Day. Went with my teenage daughters, who handled the 4-hour tour just fine, so it works well for families. Small group of eight made it personal and easy to follow. Our guide, Lu, knew many details beyond the general facts.

Great day in Burgundy wine region

Adam our guide was very informative about the entire region and the wines and winderies that we visited. It was well balanced and covered much of the 60km breadth of the burgundy region. We definately recommend this for a day exploring htis wine region.

We had a wonderful tour from 9 to 5 from Valentin. First the memorial site, then Omaha Beach, on to Sainte-Mère-Église with a self-catering lunch, and finally Utah Beach. He has a story ready for inch of road or path you come across and all very detailed. A great story, and he really takes you through the entire Normandy invasion. A great guide with a lot of passion. Well done Valentin!

Not much value for money

Professional tour company and the guide. Personally I didn't find this tour being much value for money. Two village stops and a castle for less than 7 hours or so... not a great value for the price being charged. Definitely couldn't understand what was referred as wine tasting as a last step at the center of Colmar. The hop on hop off bus costs less than 30 Euros to tour the villages.
