We loved walking through all of the villages. The history of the homes and the preservation was enlightening. The castle was rustic and Carlos knew a lot of the history. Would recommend.

Matilde was an excellent guide to the charming villages of the Côte d’Or! This tour is wonderful with its scenic route, wine workshop and lunch. It is a wonderful experience while in this beautiful and historic area!

A half day was not quite enough

This is a good tour for people with a basic understanding of wine. If you already know a reasonable amount then it might be too basic for you. Of the 4 hours, 2 are spent driving to St Emilion and back. We only had 45 minutes to explore the town so that felt quite rushed. A full day tour would be better if you want to see the town properly. The Chateau we visited was very nice. Our tour guide was quite the character and told some funny tales.

St. Emilion sightseeing and wine tasting

It was a very nice experience. Between the wine tastings and the charm of medieval town frozen in time the time flew by, the guide was very knowledgeable and made sure that everyone was comfortable and got the best out of the experience. Great trip, definitely recommend to take it.

This was probably the BEST tour we’ve ever taken! Matt was so knowledgeable! He had the best stories and he explained everything clearly. My husband is a professor of history, and usually knows more than our guides. Not this time…he actually learned some things that he will now incorporate into his lessons. If we could rate higher than a 5 star, we would. If you’re undecided about booking this tour, don’t be. Reserve it now!!! Reasonable amount of info provided while driving. Once at sight it was explore for yourself. Tour of Beynac did not happen because of time limits, walk down from castle was inappropriate given age/physical condition of all in party.

Our tour was exceptional!! The cemetery was one of the most impactful experiences we have ever had. Looking back, all three locations were. Our tour guide Victor was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, accommodating. His love for his country, his hometown and surrounding area of Normandy coupled with his stories and the history of that time made for an unforgettable afternoon. Even the weather was beautiful!!!
