Interesting Four-Hour Tour to Rocamadour

Anne was an excellent guide and host for the day, driving us the one hour from Sarlat to Rocamadour. We learned a lot about the city on the way there, and she pointed out interesting places on the drive. Rocamadour is an incredible site, and she allowed us to see it from all vantage points before taking us on a tour of the city itself. Highly recommended way to spend four hours!

Great option for visiting Mont Saint Michel

My senior citizen parents and I took this van ride from Bayeux to Mont Saint Michel and our driver/guide was very friendly and enthusiastic. He gave us great tips to get the most with our money and explained the folklore and local culture. The van is spacious and comfortable. The roads are scenic and the autumn colors were beautiful. My Dad is not very mobile so when we got to the visitor center he opted to take the shuttle and Mom and I took the walking path. The path was flat and a gentle 35 minute walk to the entrance of the village. The Abbey and Village were very interesting. There were several stairs up to the Abbey, I saw many seniors taking a rest when needed. I’m glad Dad saved his energy with the shuttle. The headsets were inexpensive to rent but a nice option to go at your own pace. There are also free brochures in multiple languages so if you opt out of the headsets, you can read the description of each room you pass through. Our train to Paris was at 5:41 pm and we arrived back in Bayeux with plenty of time to grab a drink or snack for our next trip. We were able to stow our luggage in the van and get dropped off at the train station so this was a very convenient and laid back trip for our last day in Normandy. I lost my wedding band somewhere between the bathroom at the Welcome center and the walking path so I spent a lot of time retracing my footsteps. That took away the joy of being here and present in the moment. I think you will enjoy this trip if you sign up, and keep an eye out for my ring!

Great Tour

Great way to experience Bordeaux wine country. Tour was well organized and our guide Mathis was exceptional. He spoke perfect English and explained everything so well. He showed us where to eat in St Emillion and where to go. He did a great job driving the van as well. We tasted 12 different wines and the pours were generous. Highly recommend.

Helpful hint

Use the toilets before you get on the bus. There are limited toilets and not very clean. We had to pay after climbing many steps before there was a toilet.

Fabulous 4 hour/2 wineries tour!

Tour with Ophorus, scheduled thru Viator was fantastic! We arrived in Strasbourg on a Viking Cruise but opted for a small group wine tour (Mac 8 people but our group of 6 ended up with a “private” tour). The tour was well organized, communication was excellent, started punctually, visited 2 lovely wineries , and we had a GREAT guide, Carlos! He was knowledgeable, friendly & fun! We enjoyed all aspects of the 4 hr tour & highly recommend Ophorus & Carlos!

Alexandra our guide was superb, speaking both excellent English and French ; we were fortunate in that it was a "private" tour since we were the only two on it other than her and our driver, Sebastien.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the D-Day Sites in Normandy. It turned out to be a small group of 6 people. Nad was our guide & she was very knowledgeable in all areas, but sometimes it was difficult to understand through her thick, yet delightful French accent.

Enttäuschend, trotz netter Teilnehmer und kompetenter Führung.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Das ist nicht unsere 1. Weinprobe in einem Weingebiet. Hier gab es nur Salzstängeli während 4 Std.!! Die 2. Weinprobe fand in einem Souvenirladen statt!! Unsere Tochter war vor 3 Wochen auf einer 3 Std. Weintour auf einem Weingut bei Strassbourg mit feinem Essen mit vergleichbarem Preis. und war sehr zufrieden. Spectacular day with amazing views and memories!

This day had pretty much everything: a history lesson of the region on the drive to Cassis from Aix: amazing views of Cassis from the top of Cap Canaille; fun boat ride through several of the Calanques near Cassis. A wine tasting! Shopping! Eating! Back in Aix by 4:30. Our guide, Alex, was super knowledgeable about history, geology, wine, and especially art. What a great day

Fantastic tour and guide

This tour is suitable both for those looking for scenic views from quaint villages and history buffs. I was impressed with Adam’s knowledge of the history of the area during all periods as well has his knowledge of wine during the tasting, seamlessly transitioning between topics when any of us had questions. Strong recommendation for those looking to take in the Burgundy region beyond Dijon.

La guide, la prise en charge et le moyen de transport ont été très apprécié. Les sites visités et les paysages magnifiques. La mini croisière sur la Dordogne et son guide canadien vraiment intéressants. J’aurais aimé pouvoir visiter le château dé Beynac donc 30 mn de plus environ. Merci pour cette expérience. Nous participerons à la journée culture sur la préhistoire courant année 2026.
