Excellent tour of St Emilion and the vineyards

Our guide, Hugo , was fantastic. His knowledge was excellent and he spoke perfect English. He had all kinds of interesting facts about the region and wines in general. The small chateau we visited was wonderful and actually preferable to a much larger chateau

Castle Fun

We had a great time being introduced to these chateaus by our guide. Our guide was very sweet and hospitable. He bacame our friend, super fun with alot of good energy. The castles were amazing. These 2 castles gave us just the right amount of culture and education. In between the castles our guide took us to a nice lunch spot. It was perfect. Don't waste your time going any place. Go to this little cute restaurant in the middle of a tiny street. (View photos) Great hamburger! ( I don't usually eat burgers,these are the bomb!). We loved our trip and our guide.

Fun day with a very knowledgeable guide, Hugo. He explained the appellations and ratings to us in a way that was understandable. Every Chateau had a little different twist on their wine making, which was interesting to see and taste.

A Alsácia é muito parecida com a Alemanha, devido a sua história. O ligar que mais gostei foi a pequena Kaiserberg. Andar de carro pelas estradas entre as pequenas cidades é muito bonito.

Laurence is a gem!!!

Laurence, our guide, was awesome! So fun to spend the day with! What I also loved about the tour was that the company has relationships with dozens and dozens of wineries in the region, which means that you could book this tour again and have another totally unique experience than the last time! What I will say (and it is not a criticism!) there really was no food included in the tour. Yes, it absolutely says this in the tour description, but if you’ve done a lot of winery visits like I have, you may also think that the wineries will be providing nibblies to help you soak up the alcohol. Perhaps, it depends on the specific wineries, but in our case one location cut up a bit of bread and that was all. I’m only mentioning this because it is also A LOT of wine! We tried 15 different wines that! So, what I’m trying to say is don’t skip breakfast!! I had a blast, bought a few bottles of wine and schnapps, and will definitely book this tour again!! Thanks, Laurence, for an amazing day!!

Lou was an amazing guide. She was on time, organized and informative during our tour. She took the time to explain the timeline of landings, implications of events and spoke about individual rangers and soldiers and their impact. The cemetery was so moving after learning about D-Day sites. Lou did a wonderful job with our group and was unfazed by the unpleasant weather we had. Highly recommend.

Nice tour but would have been nice to see more of the winemaking process ie any barrels etc. The three tastings were variable but the first two were very good and interesting. Valentin our tour guide was great and spoke excellent English.

Lena was a wonderful...

Lena was a wonderful guide; she was knowledgeable about all aspects of life in the area, from sites to see to natural history to good restaurants to history of tge area. She was friendly, considerate, and flexible. On the other hand, you should know that the English tour guy in the cave was not as good as he could have been. His English was heavily accented so was hard to understand at times. He also did not highlight as much as he could with his flashlight in the first part of the cave.

Classic Bourgogne Wines Tour

The chosen visit sites were great. With Adam as our guide, along with the hosts, we learned different things about Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at each stop. The wines chosen-regional, village or premier crus-were different at each stop as well, for a good tasting variety. The photo stops along the Route de Vin were breathtaking with the golden leaves of the vines still intact. I highly recommend this tour, which is a good value.
