This is one of the best tours we've ever been on. Over the course of nine hours and four locations our guide Oliver ran the show perfectly and provided commentary with tons of historical information and wit. We would recommend this to anyone without hesitation.

Our guide was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us lots of historical information and took us to both Colmar and Riquewihr. Amazing decorations everywhere. Very magical.

Tour em que NÃO constou a visita a EGUISHEIM, sem qualquer justificação por parte da Guia jONNA

No dia 8 de Dezembro eu e a minha filha Joana fizemos o tour COLMAR etc. com a Guia Joana em inglês. A guia foi otima mas chegando ao hotel voltamos a ver o programa e a guia Joana NÃO nos levou a EGUISHEIM QUE FAZIA PARTE DO PROGRAMA, nem nos deu qualquer explicação porque não visitamos o referido lugar. Não achamos isto justo, por isso deixamos à consideração da TRIPADVISOR o que fazer. Nem nos lembrou durante o tour ir ver os percursos confiando na Guia.

Excursión muy recomendable a Saint Emillion

En Saint Emilion los lugares que hay para comer están completos, nos tomamos un bocadillo de milagro, y caro, pero todo estuvo perfecto, nuestra guía Mood estuvo fenomenal y las catas muy bien también.

D-Day experience was better than I could have hoped

What an amazing and emotional day visiting Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and The American Cemetery. Our tour guide Matt was incredible and provided fantastic running commentary that perfectly accompanied our sightseeing. I learned a ton about all aspects of the D-Day invasion and the ensuing battle in Normandy. Matt’s passion for the topic and his storytelling made it an incredible day.

Colmar day trip

Our guide Lea was very nice. She drove 8 of us in a van. She was an excellent driver. We enjoyed our trip. It was a rainy day in Colmar and we wanted to go to the Chocolate museum. Between the excessive crowds and bad weather we didn’t get to see it. We did go to another city which was a bit less crowded. It was still very crowded but we did get to enjoy the Christmas market. I’m giving the company and the driver 5 stars because of Lea. She texted us places to go to that were inside because of the rain. When someone said they needed a restroom she immediately took us to a restroom. We also had one passenger who repeatedly told her to blow her van horn at a full sized tour bus loading mostly elderly passengers in the rain. It was in a roundabout and so there was no place for any cars go until they were finished. Lea responded very calmly to the man in our bus demanding that she start blowing her horn by simply saying “I will not.” Each time he demanded she said “I will not.” It took all of 7 minutes for the bus to be completely filled with passengers and on its way. I know because Lea announced the time once we were on our way. The 7 minutes to help others was a small price to pay. She kept her composure during and after the event. The lesson I learned from her that day was far more valuable to me than the sightseeing trip.

Great Guide and Scenery, Though Comfort and Crowds Were Challenge

Overall this tour delivered on its advertised itinerary and the small group size of eight was accurate. However, eight people felt too many for the sprinter van, which made the ride quite hot and uncomfortable throughout the day. Colmar and the surrounding villages were undeniably beautiful, but visiting during the Christmas market season meant the crowds were extremely heavy. I expected it to be busy, but the volume of people made it difficult to enjoy the experience. This is not the tour companys fault, but travelers should be aware of what to expect if visiting in December. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, though she only accompanied the group during the castle visit and not at the other stops. While this may be the tour format, it would have been helpful to have guidance at each location. Overall the itinerary is lovely, but I would recommend this tour outside the Christmas market period or with a smaller group for a more comfortable experience. One additional note: remember to bring euros to tip your guide. On my tour only a few participants tipped, which was disappointing given the guides effort and professionalism.

Pascal was an AMAZING guide!!! We were so lucky to just be the two of us so he added very specific details based on the information and history we already knew about D-day. He related it to films and shows we had seen. Gave stories as well as amazing facts about the events leading up to, during and following the storming of the beaches! He was a human encyclopedia about the time period and we couldn’t have had a better day regarding such a crucial point in world history!

Thierry was an excellent source of information! The number of stops and castle were exactly as we hoped. Such lovely villages and wonderful wine stop. The castle tour took longer than it was planned to, which made the evening plans a little rushed, but it was an excellent trip and he was funny and made it worthwhile.
