A once in a lifetime trip to an amazing place.
Excellent guide, Ann, was informative, considerate and amusing. Everything went smoothly. The sequence of visits starting with the museum of prehistory followed by the Rouffinac cave and then lunch was well thought out. It led into our final visit to Lascaux perfectly. The opportunity to see these incredible paintings is a fantastic privilege and this tour ensured we had the best experience possible.

A Toast to Valentine and Bourgogne!
My husband and I had a fantastic time on the winery tour, guided by Valentine. It was just us and another couple from Australia, who were very friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. The van was clean, comfortable, and well air-conditioned—perfect for a warm day. Valentine was fun, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared his deep passion for the Bourgogne region and its wines in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. We visited three different wineries, each producing prestigious wines but with their own unique architectural style and character. It was fascinating to experience the variety—not just in the wines, but in the atmosphere and identity of each estate. The hosts at every winery were welcoming, clearly proud of their work, and more than happy to share their wines with us. And of course, all the wines we tasted were exceptionally great—elegant, rich, and memorable. We also learned that Valentine holds a degree in Archaeology from Dijon University, and he was happy to share his insights into the history and culture of the region as well. His enthusiasm and knowledge truly added depth to the experience. A memorable and enriching tour from start to finish!

Terrific Tour!
Our guide Rodolphe was very informative, pleasant and professional. He met us at the Tourism Center as promised, then drove our group of 8 in a comfortable van to Saint-Emilion. We never had overlap with other groups so we were never too crowded. All the wineries were beautiful and the tastings were delicious and generous. Rodolphe gave us recommendations for lunch in the charming village and we had time for both lunch and some shopping/sightseeing. I highly recommend this tour.

I really enjoyed my visit to Rocamadour. It’s a remarkable city and our guide was very good. I only wish we’d had more time. But overall I was very happy to have done this tour.

Had a thoroughly delightful tour today with Lena to Rocamadour. She answered all of our questions and gave us time to explore. Just the right amount of information without going into details that we would not remember. A highly recommended tour!

We learned A LOT about...
We learned A LOT about the wine making process and the St. Emilion region in particular. We tried 4 wines, 3 red and 1 rose. They were fabulous wines. If able, buy from the vineyard as they are less expensive than the town and you won’t have to pay shipping!

Wonderful experience!
We visited several places along the Wine Route. It was an 8-hour activity. We left (on time) from Strasbourg toward Colmar, then Eguisheim, Riquewihr, and finally a visit to the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. We had time to ourselves for taking pictures, shopping, and exploring in general. We had lunch in Riquewihr. The visit to the castle involves a great deal of climbing stairs. Nevertheless, it is worthy! There is a spectacular view of the valley and mountains.

Great Private Tour of Arles and St Remy
We booked a private tour because my mother is elderly and we wanted to skip Les Baux because of the steep hills, for more time in Arles. We are so glad we did. Arles turned out to be our favorite town in Provence. Our guide, Jehanne, was so kind and patient. She stayed with my mother when she needed to rest. Her English is extraordinary and her knowledge of history is extensive. We learned so much more on a private tour. She showed us hidden gems and helped us find a great restaurant, away from the tourists. We also spent a long time at Saint-Paul de Mausole, a beautiful and interesting psychiatric home in a monastery where Van Gogh spent a year in isolation, painting some of his most famous works. Unfortunately group tours skip this sight, as it probably gets quite crowded. We spent a total of three weeks in Provence this year and we all agreed this tour was the highlight.

Heat Impacted Our Tour
It was extremely hot (35C) and the van couldn't produce enough cold air between stops to regenerate our party. As a result, it was very difficult to focus on our tour guide Guy's commentary or that of the wineriesj that we visited. I am not sure why the wine tastings were done with all the wines being poured in the same glass. The lowest quality wine (the first tasted) was the only one not impacted by the residual wine from the previous wine tasted. Only the last Chateau visited provided something to revive your taste buds between wines tasted. Now the positive, Guy provided an ongoing commentary that gave us a lot of information about Pomerol and Saint Emillion wines and chateaus. And we tasted some very nice wines. Saint Emillion is a lovely little village.

Awesome experience!
Really great experience! The guide Adam was fluent in English, very knowledgeable and friendly. He picked us up in a van in Dijon and drove us to some vineyards, some wine cellars, and there was a break for lunch in the historic town called Beaune. We got to learn about the winemaking process from the geology that created this special territory, to actual fields of vines, to the casking and bottling process, and then to the best part, the tasting of 12-15 different wines, including several "premiers crus". It was great to talk to the winemakers themselves who could explain the art and science of winemaking. We also learned a lot of details about how to appreciate the flavors and to talk about them. Unforgettable experience!

More history than gourmet
We are a small group who has travelled together many times. We take a Food Tour to help plan our shopping and restaurant visits during our stay. This tour was more focused on local history and less on food. Our guide was very friendly and his English was adequate. He was unable to answer some of our food questions but was willing to ask the vendor. The tour visited only three store-front establishments and stopped at none of the street market vendors. Therefore, we could have easily and more conveniently done this tour on a ‘non-market’ day and avoided all the crowds. We all prefer a more immersive experience when sampling local offerings.
