This was an excellent tour! Our guide was witty, charming and very knowledgeable. He kept our attention the entire tour, even for our 10 and 14 yr old. (I’m sorry, I can’t remember his name but he was from Ireland.) This tour exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend, you will NOT be disappointed!!

Enjoyable day trip
On the whole an enjoyable trip. Gives a good flavour of the towns of Colmar, Eguisheim, Riquewihr and the castle Haut Koenigsbourg. It felt a little rushed at times, so perhaps drop either one of Eguisheim or Riquewihr? There are a good many steps at the castle, but no more than about 20 at a time, so very doable. Commentary could have been a bit more focused at times in the minivan, but this was not the usual guide for this tour due illness. 8 seater minivan was full, so a bit cramped, but aircon was good on a very hot day. A good way to see the area in a 9 hour day.

Very knowledgeable guide...
Very knowledgeable guide and pleasant experience overall. Annoying to start late due to other guests not being ready/not coming to the pick up. If people are not there on time, it is their own fault and shouldn't negatively impact other guests.

Mathis was a great guide! Enjoyed the expertise that he shared along the way and appreciated his bonus game on the way home! We enjoyed the wines and especially the tours at each stop, learning a bit more at each stop. It was interesting to see what was the same and what was different in terms of processing the grapes across the various locations. Beautiful countryside to enjoy throughout the drive. In terms of value: Lunch on our own was ok -- another tour had lunch included at one of the wineries included in the price -- even though the food itself wasn't our favorite, it definitely added to experience which I think was a miss here. Definitely recommend the Medoc region, and for us, the full day was the right answer!

Matt loves his job and it shows! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour—the visits were powerful and we appreciated his thought-provoking insights and commentary. My kids especially loved how he mimicked the sound of bombs from inside a bunker at Pointe du Hoc! While British, he shared his belief that every American should visit the Normandy American Cemetery; I agree and am so grateful my family and I could take this powerful tour.

A Wonderful and Emotional Tour
This tour was informative, well-paced, and emotional. Our guide, Maggie, was excellent. She recognized that there were participants of all ages and knowledge levels and tailored the tour to keep the interest of all of us. We did not have time for the full-day tour and hoped we would see the major beaches and visit the most important sites and we did.

It was a great trip and Laurence was amazing and so knowledgeable. I wish we could have had a little longer at each stop because they were so beautiful.
