Amazing wine tour

Amazing!!!!! We went to threee different wineries our tour guide Laurence was fabulous so much knowledge and fun to listen to. She had great suggestions and took us to an amazing family own winery where we saw the cellars at lunch she took us to one of the towns that inspired disneys beauty and the beast … it was like a fairytale such and added bonus and surprise. She took amazing care of us!

Great introduction to some of the local specialties

This was our second tour with Benoit. He gave us a very good overview of the history of this tiny town. Even though we’ve been staying here for almost a week, he added a lot to our historical perspective. Benoit took us to three distinct places – one with a lot of wonderful traditional cheeses, the second with traditional duck dishes, and the third a cute little café, where we had an espresso and tasted some of the local sweets made with walnuts. Great tour— just way too short. This could be a much longer tour without any difficulty.

This was a fantastic day...

This was a fantastic day of touring through the Médoc region. Our guide Luigi was fantastic, and we loved every stop that we made along the way. Our only potential suggestion would be to start the tour a bit later and skip the lunch stop. In either case, each of the 3 wineries were great and we especially loved the first 2 wineries we visited. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bordeaux!

Vic was terrific. He is engaging and very knowledgable. There is a lot of information for Vic to tell on the tour so he has to talk for the full 4 hours.. it wax a little difficult to take all the information in.

Excellent tour

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and very personable. Explained many of the French and German changes over the centuries, and many small details that you would not see or understand. For those that are looking for nice places to visit, do this tour, then go rent a car and spend some time in each.. Pauline is an excellent source of knowledge

Wonderful St. Emilon with Oscar

Our trip to Saint Emilion was truly wonderful. Partly because it is such an incredibly beautiful area , but also because our guide, Oscar, was outstanding. Our tour consisted of a group of six people that we did not know and the two of us in a comfortable van. Oscar was the driver as well as the guide and he was spot on. His knowledge of the area was outstanding. We are so glad that we chose this tour rather than the cruise ship excursion. It was more fairly priced and also much more personal from what we are hearing. We highly recommend this tour and if you can get Oscar that’s a plus! Just as an aside, my husband is a wine maker and collector, and thought that this trip was really beautiful and informative.

Carlos was fantastic. It was one other couple and me. We toured villages and had some amazing wine. It was the best tour I have been on in a very long time! I highly recommend it.

Right from the start, the tour felt effortlessly smooth. The route was brilliantly planned – visiting three distinct vineyards with tastings flowed seamlessly. There was no rushing, no awkward downtime, just a perfectly paced journey through the stunning Alsace countryside. The transitions between each stop felt natural and relaxing, letting us fully soak in the scenery and the wines. But the true star of the day was **Alain**. He wasn't just a guide; he felt like a knowledgeable, passionate friend sharing his love for Alsace. His care and thoughtfulness were evident throughout. He anticipated questions, made sure everyone felt included and comfortable, and his enthusiasm was simply contagious!

A perfect day

Husband and I signed up for the half day wine tour from Alsace. Arthur picked us up at the designated meeting point, he was prompt and we ended up on a private tour. The van was comfortable, he first took us to a lookout point overlooking the wine region. It was lovely, he pointed out the area sites and explained the qualities that make this region unique for growing certain grapes. We went to two wineries for tastings: Clos de la Treille, and Kaefferkopf. Both are family owned and run. The vintners each gave us a limited tour of their wineries and we tasted about 5 wines at each. Both wineries produce excellent wines, we were very happy with the winery choices. Arthur was an excellent tour guide. He spoke English very well and helped translate some of the vintners comments. He was patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and has a great personality for being a public guide. This was a wonderful half day tour!

Incredible Experience

We had an incredible day with Jerome and 6 other visitors from all over the world. Jerome was an excellent tour guide, we learned so much at all 3 vineyards, and each wine we tried was so delicious that we ordered bottles from all 3 places 😊 Also, the stop in Saint-Emilion was absolutely perfect. Overall, what a fantastic day - would 100% recommend this tour if you enjoy learning about and drinking wine!

Alsace wine road is great!

An excellent experience, Pauline our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Comfortable van and the selection of wineries was great. Tried all the varieties that Alsace has to offer. Purchased some beautiful wines to drink during our time in France.

Profunda decepción; Disney lo hubiese hecho mucho mejor y uno sabe que es fantasía. Esto ni fantasía ni realidad

Tenía mucha expectativa Sabía que era réplica. Tiene una entrada inentendible , adentro sistema Disney para entrar; luego adentro son réplicas buenas creo y termina esa media hora en un shopping.Estoy mas que seguro que Disney lo hubiese hecho mucho más ambientado y más excitante Yo visité en otros lados otras reales ,esta CERO emoción. Saber que no estuvieron ahí ,ni pintaron eso , viendo algo que youtube o libros muestran fue una profunda decepción .Recomiendo revisar a qué cueva se va, ya que hay reales

Just an overpriced taxi ride :(

Only giving any stars because our driver was great and the place was worth visiting. (We aren’t faulting our driver. They did let us know after we were already in motion that we we only purchased a ride). This is genuinely NOTHING more than a glorified taxi ride for 8 people. There is no “commentary”. Not a single tidbit of information about Mont Saint Michel except to avoid the overpriced omelets (we learned to also avoid the sandwiches. The first shop on the right sold us rancid ham sandwiches…inedible…no refunds) But when we signed up for a $114 per person “transfer” with “commentary” from a “knowledgeable driver” we thought that meant that we’d get some information during the ride then be left to explore on our own with the new “knowledge” we thought would be shared in the “commentary” , in mind. We chatted about random things here and there on the way, like regional foods and the driver pointed out when MSM came into view , but that was about it. Thankfully there was enough signal for us to google information, which is much less fun when we expected “knowledgeable” “commentary” Local hotels offer daily shuttles for MUCH less. And our family could have gotten a private *round trip* Uber for HALF THE PRICE. Either spend a bit more and get the guided tour and actually learn a bit about this neat place or save a bunch of money and get a hotel shuttle or Uber. We’ve purchased a LOT of tours through Viator and this one has been the ost disappointing in terms of what we paid vs what we got. What a shame.

Charming Alsace and informative tour.

Our guide Roxanne was very knowledgeable and informative. Her knowledge spanned the history of the region and she had special experience as an anthropologist so gave deeper insights. The villages we visited were all charming and we had plenty of time on our own for exploring.

Incredible tour from start to finish! Our tour guide Matt was incredibly knowledgeable, with a real gift for storytelling. He weaved multiple stories beautifully together, giving us a rounded, inspirational and thought-provoking day. Some truly profound and emotional moments, skilfully delivered with a balance that delicately navigated the compassion, bravery, heroism and nuance of the dday context within the wider war. I am so grateful to have had Matt, and my step-son and I will never forget this experience. Thank you Matt, your passion - and compassion -for the subject is clear, and I can say with all my heart that you are truly appreciated for passing this on to us. Thank you forever.
