Super great visit. Definitely recommend doing a full day tour. Our tour guides were really nice.

I had read many great things about Kualoa Ranch, so I was excited when we booked the Half Day Package. The first half of the tour was the Hollywood Movie Sites Tour, followed by the Ocean Voyage Tour after lunch (included in the package), which was supposed to include a ride on a 50 passenger catamaran in Kaneohe Bay from their "Secret Island". The movie sites tour went as described and was fun seeing where various movies had been filmed. The driver/tour guide was funny and informative. The landscape and mountains are absolutely breathtaking and it was amazing to see those. The Ranch House lunch was good and there was plenty of time to eat. The boat tour, however, was not good. The 50 passenger catamaran was apparently not in working order that day, but no one mentioned that to us. Instead, our tour group was divided into two groups and we rode across the fish pond and were put on a smaller boat. The captain of the boat was extremely unpleasant. He kept yelling at the passengers to move, without explaining where he wanted us to stand or why he wanted us to move. The young guide assisting him finally explained that the front of the boat was stuck on the sand and he wanted us to stand on the other end of the boat to help lift the front end up. Once the boat was free, the captain continued yelling at the guide for everything she did wrong. It was her first time working on the boat tour. We rode around the bay for about 15 minutes looking for turtles. The captain insisted that we call them out by their position on a clock face, so, "Turtle, 11 o'clock!" Which we did. And even though we were all yelling, "Turtles, 12 o'clock!" he ran the boat into a pair of mating turtles. After the bay ride, we spent more time on the fish pond, riding around with a different guide pointing out more movie sites. He was really nice and was really trying to entertain us, but he was clearly winging it. Finally one of the passengers asked when we were getting on the big boat and he told us that it wasn't working, so this was our boat tour. So between being annoyed that we weren't told about the boat being out of service and not given a choice of a refund or a different tour and *really* being put off by the boat captain, our experience at Kualoa Ranch was not what we had hoped it would be. I'm giving this 2 stars because we did enjoy the movie sites tour, but I would give the boat tour 0 stars.

Kualoa Ranch is my go to destination to take my family and friends when they visit. I have pretty much gone on every tour including zip lining, e-bike tour, ATV tour, and more. All have been amazing!

One of the biggest highlights of our trip to Hawaii. We were incredibly fortunate to have Philip as our tour guild for the jungle exposition. Very enthusiastic and passionate about the history of the local area. I don’t think our trip would have been as great without him. Would highly encourage this tour

The views are amazing but overall not being able to find parking when we arrived an hour before our tour was not a great start. Had to park in mud and got messy. This place is definition of over tourism. They cater to masses so if that’s your thing go for it. The cafe also had long wait, they force you to be there 45 mins early and when it’s pre lunch time you would expect that to run smoothly which it was not. I am not a negative review person as you can tons of my prior Hawaii experience reviews. If you are a gay couple and have some reasonable expectations of a good curated experience this place is not it.

We went on this ride on Tuesday and it was pouring I mean pouring . We did the jeep ride with Reece and Kevin . With the weather being the way it was Reese and Kevin made our time sooo enjoyably so fun Reese is funny a lot jokes all through the ride, so knowledgeable, so much information and just what an experience. 10 out of 10 would totally do it again. I don’t like rain I am from Cali where there is sun all day but those two made it amazing. Thanks again we had so much fun. Thanks Reese for saving me from the T-Rex
