Family Cliff’s of Moher Hike
Phil, Sean and Fiachra were the best! We had a bus ride from Galway to Doolin with Phil and got to stop for coffee at a small town along the way. Sean and Fiachra lead our hiking group up the Cliffs of Moher where we got to meet farmer Pat and braved the elements (wind and rain). We ended our tour at O’Connor’s pub in Doolin with a chowder and some Guiness. Would recommend!😊
A fabulous time start to finish!
Such a fantastic trip from start to finish. Kevin "Murph" Murphy was fabulous - warm, kind, knowledgeable and concerned about our comfort and our experience. He really made the hike and journey even better. Loved the day we spent hiking the Cliffs!!
Five stars: an unforgettable Cliffs of Moher hike with an artist’s eye
Five stars: an unforgettable Cliffs of Moher hike with an artist’s eye This was an excellent hiking experience and one of the most memorable days of our Ireland trip. We hiked the Cliffs of Moher on what may have been the best weather day ever: blue sky, puffy white clouds, clear visibility and chilly, fresh air. From the trail, we could see across to Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands, with the Twelve Bens of Connemara visible in the distance. Everywhere we looked felt like a postcard view. The Cliffs of Moher are amazing from every angle. We had taken a Cliffs of Moher ferry the day before to experience the cliffs from the water, and this hiking tour was the perfect companion experience. Seeing the cliffs from above, walking along the trail, and having time to stop for photos made the day feel complete. Our guide, Phill Foley, did an awesome job. He shared storytelling, history and points of interest along the way, while also keeping our small group safe and moving at a comfortable pace. The hike never felt rushed. We had plenty of time for photos, questions and simply taking in the views. Phill is clearly an experienced guide, and we learned he has been doing this tour regularly for many years. Even so, the tour felt fresh. He brought genuine energy and excitement to sharing the landscape with us. Tip: ask Phill about his art over lunch. He may not bring it up unless you ask, but he is also a Galway-based landscape artist. Once we learned that, his guiding style made even more sense. He sees the landscape, not just the trail. We also appreciated the pacing of the full day. There was a relaxed stop for coffee and a pastry on the way, and after the hike we stopped for lunch at McDermott’s Bar in Doolin, an internationally known pub for traditional Irish session music. Great guide, spectacular views, comfortable pace and a day we will remember. Highly recommended.
Spectacular adventure
Lots of walking but stops along the way for photo ops allow for breaks to catch one's breath. The views are worth the effort. Our guide, Phil, was real, gung-ho, and funny. His knowledge of Irish lore and history was entertaining and informative.
Excellent tour
Beautiful view! Ollies Tours made it an excellent experience. Murph and karvil (sorry if I butchered the spelling) were the best guides- providing great historic information that gave us a better picture of Ireland.
