Amazing views
It was a bit windy, but I guess it always is, and there was a light rain for the day of our tour. Didn’t ruin our experience, the views from the cliffs were amazing. Galway is a nice little City. We did a little shopping and had a great day. Highly recommend the tour.
Leo
It was a tough day for our host Leo. Even when telling folks that the roads were winding and car sickness could happen, folk kept eating at stops and getting sick on the ride. Leo did well through it all. I also appreciated the knowledge about the Pagans on this tour, most tours so far have only focused on Christians and Protestants. As a pagan, it was nice to hear our part in the history. Thank you
Might consider a different option
Unfortunately we did not enjoy our tour yesterday it definitely was poor. The bus was in need of repairs. The main door was not sealed and had opened during the drive on the highway. We had to pull over the close it. It never properly sealed the entire 12 hours of our tour and was very loud. The squeaking of the bus drivers seat was also very noisy and caused those of us in our party a headache. The driver was texting the entire way back to Dublin after our last stop. Honestly I don't enjoy tours with the driver as a tour guide as they can not focus on two things at the same time. Road safety should come first. The amount we pay for tours now is significant and I feel we do not get a proper tour without a tour guide and a bus driver. The Cliffs were impressive and we loved Galway. The additional stop for a late lunch we felt was wasted time as it was a stop at a cafeteria style restaurant 10 minutes away from the Cliffs that you could only spend time in as there was nothing else to do or see. If you get car sick, the roads can be very curvy so proper accordingly. Sadly our most unloved tour in our 3 weeks
Great scenic trip - tight bus
It’s a beautiful trip. The bus driver was very nice and knowledgeable. The bus is uncomfortable for those six feet and taller. Take the smaller bus. The stop at Galway should be expanded to three hours, as there are many restaurants and sites. Better to eat lunch there at noon before going to the designated “lunch stop” two hours later near the Cliffs - rthat’s clearly a company perk. The Cliffs of Moher are also amazing. Plenty of time for viewing.
Scenic tour
Loved Galway, would highly recommend this tour. Stopped at a museum and saw the Spanish archway. The shopping was top tier and had a lot to eat and local shops to pop into. The Cliffs of Moher are a must see. One of my favorite experiences traveling thus far.
