Itinerary
Pass by: Tour leaves from Florence city centre in the early morning , to reach Cinque Terre
The Cinque Terre are a rugged stretch of coast of the eastern Ligurian Riviera (La Spezia Riviera) located in the territory of the province of La Spezia, between Punta Mesco and Punta di Montenero, in which there are five villages (three municipalities and two hamlets) or, as they used to say in ancient times, "lands", which listed from north to south are: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore.
Pass by: The town of Levanto is of ancient foundation, nestled in a valley covered with olive trees, vines and pines and directly overlooking the sea. In case of Transfer Only option this is the drop off point, where you can start your tour by your own. The ridges of the valley end in the sea with the Mesco promontory and the tip of Levanto. Part of its territory also falls within the Cinque Terre National Park and the Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area.
In Manarola, can relax by bathing in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, taste typical products in the local shops or wander around this small fishing village part of a territory declared a UNESCO heritage site
Riomaggiore, like the other Cinque Terre, is squeezed between the Ligurian Sea and the steep mountain range that detaches itself from the Apennines at Mount Zatta and descends in a south-eastern direction, acting as a watershed between the Val di Vara and the coastal area. The historic center, whose original nucleus dates back to the 13th century, is located in the valley of the Rio Maggiore stream, the ancient Rivus Major from which the village takes its name
Vernazza is the second of the towns that make up the Cinque Terre, in a bay between the municipalities of Monterosso al Mare and Riomaggiore. It also includes the subsequent village of Corniglia, a fraction of it.
Monterosso al Mare is at the center of a small natural gulf, protected by a modest artificial reef, to the east of Punta Mesco on the La Spezia Riviera. It constitutes the westernmost part of the Cinque Terre.
Pass by: Come back in the evening at the same point in the city center

Traveler reviews
Your bus left without us
We were 5 minutes late to our meeting place because we were outside not at correct meeting place asked several locals where to meet and were told that spot.. In the past booking with Viator we were called ahead of time if we missed communications had happened.
Great experience!
This was a wonderful way to see most of the Cinque Terre in a single visit. We got to most of the villages on this tour, and we had plenty of time to experience each of them during our stops. The weather unfortunately did not cooperate to be able to take the ferry between stops, but it did not take away from the experience. Our guide, Lila was very helpful in letting us know the best spots at each place to see the scenic views or stop for a bite to eat. We did the street food option and were provided with vouchers for a place with focaccia and another for ice cream - both were delicious!
I loved the boat ride...
I loved the boat ride after the bus ride. The views of the Italian coastline were amazing. I enjoyed shopping and eating in the little villages. We walked on the beach in Monterosa. I loved watching the children playing on the beach.
Worth every moment!
Juliano was our lovely and linguistically talented tour guide, along with two other lovely and also linguistically talented women who took care of two other groups that were with us. Each town was a site to see and experience, we loved every moment. We started our day meeting inside the Firenze Train Station Santa Maria Novella by the site seeing booth ~ this is an experience my husband and I will hold dear to our hearts forever.
A colossal waste of time
So there was a train strike which forced us to go by bus and then boat…the bus consisted of 42 people in transit for two hours in each direction…the boat consisted of well over 100 passengers again in transit for an additional two hours each way…we went to two villages for about one hour and fifteen minutes…no explanation of the history or why these villages were chosen…in summary 8 hours in transit for 2 hours and 30 minutes of wandering around is a colossal waste of time. I think a refund is in order
