Disappointed Luau
About ten years ago I went to Paradise Cove Luau and it was fantastic. If they were still open we would have gone there instead. So I am comparing this one to Paradise Cove. Chief's had no activities for the dinner and show. There was no alcohol, Paradise had a full bar and our free drink tickets were for anything at the bar. The food was ok at best, they catered it unlike Paradise cove actually cooked the pig in the ground and had the ceremony when it was removed. Then they actually carved the pig in front of everyone and we ate that pig. Plus Paradise Cove was on the edge of the water and not at a water park.
A great and fun night
A fun, lively, educational experience! The Luau takes place in an old, possibly abandoned wet&wild water park. There you will also see two of Hawaii's biggest examples of wild life, stray cats and wild chickens! Cats and chickens are everywhere in Oahu! But don't let this deter you. The Luau is legit, having been stationed in Pearl Harbor over 20 years ago, I've been to several luaus in Oahu and this one has been my favorite. A smaller venue hosting a smaller audience makes for a more intimate an enjoyable evening. The food is buffet style serving typical luau food such as Kahlua pork and huli huli chicken. As far as buffet food goes, again, some of the best I've had! It was delicious and you could go back as many times as you want! The show began after dinner showcasing beautiful performers representing different Polynesian cultures culminating in a high energy, electrifying, fire knife dance!!! It is a great time, and a great bang for the buck!
Great Time
We had an amazing time. The food was excellent and plentiful! The entire staff/cast were friendly, warm, welcoming, and kind. The fire show was phenomenal, and the different types of cultural dances were top notch! Highly recommend.
Excellent experience
It was a unique experience, my family and I enjoyed it from the moment we entered, but it was a shame that you could tell by bracelets and necklaces who was able to buy better tickets; my mom was disappointed because they did not give her a Hawaiian flower lei because we paid a considerable price for that event, but other than that everything was very beautiful, everyone who danced has a lot of talent
Amazing all around
Best show ever! My family and I had such a good time that we would definitely come again. The performance was amazing, the food really good, the atmosphere phenomenal. I highly recommend this show. Everyone was great and the host was awesome.
