Traveler reviews
we took a tour of Charleston
our guide made the trip!! He was so knowledgable and funny
Take a tour with "THE MEG" and Old Town Trolley for a good time in Charleston!
Travel if at all possible with "THE MEG" she was fantastic. She really knows her stuff about Charleston and its history! She made our trip there worth every penny. If you want a good lesson on the history of Charleston this is the tour to take.
Sgt Dan is entertaining

Two hour non-stop narrated ride
Preface: This is our 6th trolley tour with this company at cities across America. This one is different than some of the others. There are essentially NO stops(the one stop at the park was closed during our visit). It is enclosed in an "air conditioned" vehicle, however I can tell you the air conditioning was not great at all and terrible at the back of the bus. Even moving up to sit in the front row behind the driver did not make us any cooler. It is a LONG non-stop narrated tour lasting approximately 2 hours. Yes, beautiful sights are seen and pieces of history are learned and Chef Karl our driver was great, but it was too long with zero stops like the other trolley tours we have been on. Our children were getting antsy as well as myself. You are given a literal 5 minute break when stopping by the water to see the views and get right back on the bus. We exited at the last stop the city market and walked back to the car at the visitor center (20 minute walk). Hopefully the city of Charleston will allow more stops in the future, and hopefully the company checks the A/C on these vehicles frequently which was pretty much the only reason I chose this over the horse drawn carriage rides.
