Champagne Houses in Épernay
Leave the bustle of Paris behind and travel with your expert guide to one of the prestigious Champagne houses in Épernay, such as Mercier or Moët & Chandon. In the heart of the Champagne capital, you descend into the historic cellars for a captivating 1.5‑hour walking tour, discovering the savoir‑faire and traditions behind each bottle. The visit ends with a tasting of Moët Champagne, giving you the chance to discuss its creation and character with fellow enthusiasts.
Through the Vineyards of Montagne de Reims
After lunch (at your own expense), rejoin your air‑conditioned minivan and depart Épernay for the scenic drive through the Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park. As you cross this renowned Grand Cru area, your guide points out vineyard slopes, charming villages and viewpoints that showcase the beauty of the Champagne countryside.
Hautvillers and Dom Pérignon
Your next stop is the picturesque village of Hautvillers, often described as the “birthplace of Champagne.” Here you learn about Dom Pérignon, the visionary Benedictine monk who devoted his life to perfecting the art of Champagne, and you explore the village lanes that keep his legacy alive.
Family-Run Champagne Estate
The day concludes with a visit to a family‑owned Champagne estate, where you sample four different Champagnes in an intimate setting. This final tasting contrasts the style of a major house with the personality of an independent producer, offering a well‑rounded introduction to the region before your return to Paris.

Reviews
We had a very fun day with Matt to Mont Saint-Mitchel. Matt is an excellent tour guide & he cared for his clients very much. He's an on time person. We learned a lot about the history of Saint-Mitchel via Matt. He made sure we have enough time browsing this beautiful UNESCO. We definitely recommend friends & family this tour. Thank you Matt
Pascal was, above all, a smiling whirlwind of energy from the very start — bursting with knowledge, passion, and just the right amount of dramatic flair. He painted the horror of the Omaha Beach invasion so vividly that we could practically hear the chaos, then marched us through the bunkers at Pointe du Hoc like we were on a mission ourselves. And before we even caught our breath, he had already catapulted us back to Bayeux at invasion speed. A legend in tour‑guide form. Thanks from Croatian Team😉
Our Normandy D-Day tour was well worth it and we so enjoyed our tour guide Matt. He made the tour engaging, entertaining and informative. The tour was just the right size and a half day was perfect for us. It would have been much harder to get around to the sites and understand each without the information that Matt was constantly sharing. There was hardly a time that Matt was not telling us what/how/when of what we were looking at. Thanks Matt!

Additional information
This Champagne tour is perfect for wine lovers and curious foodies who want to deepen their understanding of Champagne in its birthplace, rather than just enjoy a quick tasting in Paris. It’s ideal for couples, friends and small groups who appreciate a relaxed yet immersive day: visiting a major house like Moët or Mercier, exploring historic cellars, discovering Dom Pérignon’s village of Hautvillers and meeting a family producer for intimate tastings.
The experience especially suits travelers who value small-group guidance, comfortable minivan transport and the chance to compare big-name cuvées with artisanal Champagnes in a single, well-structured day.
Please note that we do not distribute water bottles anymore to limit our environmental impact. We strongly recommend that you bring a reusable bottle.
