Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel around 4am. Upon arrival in Cairo, your tour guide will meet you and accompany you throughout the tour. Meet your Egyptological tour guide at the museum to start your day. Visit the state-of-the-art Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the largest archaeological museum in the world with over 100,000 artifacts, or the Ancient Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Select your preferred museum during the booking process. Afterwards, enjoy your lunch. The further course of the excursion will take you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The pyramid tour ends at the Sphinx and the temple in its vicinity. If time permits, you will have the opportunity to drive to Cairo Bazaar at the end of the day before returning to Sharm el Sheikh. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be driven to your hotel in an air-conditioned car.
When returning from Cairo in the late evening, we will spend some time visiting medieval London (Khan el Klalili Market), Old Cairo, recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, or Cairo Festival City, an extra-large shopping mall (air-conditioned), one of the largest in the Middle East. Full of the most famous international brands, restaurants, cafés and a giant dancing fountain, where you'll be drawn to Cairo's chic, modern nightlife.
Pass by: If we have time, we can make two characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oils Factory. These two attractions will introduce you to ancient Egyptian techniques for making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits expand your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and are also helpful for the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very ancient handicrafts from ancient Egypt. (These visits depend on the time remaining.)

An Unforgettable Day in Cairo & Giza with Reem
From start to finish, our day trip from Sharm to Cairo was absolutely flawless. We were picked up directly from our resort and taken straight through the airport, with all the visa paperwork and security handled for us — such a relief when travelling with a teenager. When we landed in Cairo, we were met by our driver and our Egyptologist, Reem, who was an absolute star from the moment we got in the car. On the drive to Giza she talked us through Egypt’s history, pointed out places of interest, and answered every question we threw at her. She made the journey feel like part of the experience rather than just travel time. At the Giza Plateau, Reem guided us around the pyramids and the Sphinx, explaining the history in a way that was fascinating, clear, and full of passion. She took photos for us, never rushed us, and made sure we saw the best viewpoints. It felt like walking through a documentary — but with someone who genuinely cared that we enjoyed every moment. Lunch was at a beautiful Egyptian restaurant overlooking the pyramids, complete with more photos and a chance to soak in the view. In the afternoon, we visited the Grand Egyptian Museum, where Reem highlighted the most important pieces before giving us time to explore on our own. We could easily have spent all day there. With a little time left before our flight, Reem arranged a short boat ride on the Nile — something I never expected to fit into the day, and a huge tick on our bucket list. Throughout the day, Reem didn’t just teach us about ancient Egypt; she also shared what life in modern Egypt is like. It was eye‑opening, thoughtful, and added so much depth to the experience. The dash back to the airport was… an adventure. Cairo traffic is absolutely wild, but our driver was excellent and somehow got us there in one piece. My son and I had a truly amazing day — one we’ll remember forever. Everything was organised perfectly, down to the smallest detail. I would never have attempted arranging all of this myself, and I’m so glad we didn’t have to. All we had to do was sit, walk, and take photos. I would 1000% recommend this trip, and we will always have happy memories of Cairo and Giza thanks to Reem.

We had a wonderfull time. Jimmy was really good and really looked after us. He went the extra mile when I struggled with the heat and the amount of walking.

TOP experience
We took a day trip from Sharm el Sheik to Cairo with a flight and a visit to the Giza plateau and the GEM. The organization worked perfectly. All transfers and all the various steps between the different attractions were timely and satisfactory. No negative surprises on the cost side; everything that needed to be included was guaranteed. A special note for Adel, the Italian-speaking guide who enriched the experience with her professionalism, preparation, and patience in accommodating us with every photographic "whim." Without Adel, the experience probably would not have been as positive.
