Disappointing Budapest River Cruise Experience
I have used Viator before and usually had good experiences, but this time I was disappointed with the river cruise in Budapest. The cruise mostly went back and forth in the same area instead of covering more of the city, so we didn’t really get to see Budapest properly. While it did pass by the Parliament building and a few other well-known landmarks, the overall route felt very limited. Another issue was that the audio guide often did not match what we were actually looking at, which made the experience confusing. Overall, the tour felt poorly organized and did not meet expectations.
Views of the Danube.
The views were very pretty light up but boat was crowded. If you are cruising out on a river boat cruise you will see the exact views. Wait till sail away.
Amazing but drinks meh...
Guides upstairs did not work. Free drinks, especially beer, were not good. I highly advice go for non-alcoholic drinks (cola, water, etc.). We had a nice weather and the atmosphere was amazing. Staff was nice (english speaking). It was around 1h ride as advertise. Advise: book a cruise for later than 20:30 to experience a nice view of parlament that is light on. Crowd in roof was packed but indoor it was manageable.

Absolute must do. But make sure to check what time the sunsets!! You want to go at night when the Parliament building is all lit up, way better.

Reputable company - it was a lovely tour of the river especially at night with everything lit up. Staff very nice & helpful
