Hotel Pickup and Tour Departure in Bordeaux
Your private Bordeaux city tour begins with convenient pickup directly from your hotel or accommodation in Bordeaux. Meet your certified tour guide who will review the itinerary and customize the walking route to match your interests. For guests staying outside the city center, the tour can depart from the Bordeaux Tourism Office, ideally located in the heart of the historic district.
Explore Place des Quinconces, Europe's Largest Square
Your first stop is Place des Quinconces, the most emblematic square in Bordeaux and one of the largest public squares in Europe. Located along the Garonne River, it stands on the former site of Château Trompette, a fortress built when France reclaimed Bordeaux from English rule. The square features the impressive Monument to the Girondins and monumental statues of Montesquieu and Montaigne, two celebrated philosophers born in the Bordeaux region.
Discover the Golden Triangle and Grand Théâtre
Your walking tour continues into the Golden Triangle, the luxury heart of the city defined by three elegant boulevards including Cours de l'Intendance. At the center lies Place de la Comédie, a grand square flanked by the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux and the magnificent Grand Théâtre, an 18th-century architectural masterpiece designed by Victor Louis. The neoclassical theatre features 12 Corinthian columns and remains one of the finest opera houses in France.
Visit Bordeaux Riverfront and the Famous Water Mirror
The tour includes Place de la Bourse, an elegant 18th-century square on the Garonne River and home to the world-famous Miroir d'Eau (Water Mirror), the largest reflecting pool in the world. Additional highlights include the Cathedral of Saint-André, a stunning Gothic cathedral and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the nearby Pey Berland Tower, and Rue Sainte-Catherine, one of the longest pedestrian shopping streets in Europe stretching over 1.2 kilometers.

Reviews
Great experience, guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Victor brought us around the different sites and showed us so many cool sites
Alex was the most experienced, knowledgeable, and chilled tour guide of all the 5 tour guides we experienced. We learned a lot from him about the culture, history, and geology of the region. He also provided great context to understand the regions' wines. This tour to Cassis and the calanques was beautiful and would get a 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that this expensive tour did not include lunch. The wine tasting was good but I had better in Bordeaux and it included lunch.
Matt was an awesome tour guide. His passion for D-day made the experience that much better. He was very knowledgeable. Even my children were glued to his every word. Great experience!
