Itinerary
Check in for your tour at the bus parking Sihlquai. Settle aboard your luxury coach, departing central Zurich for the drive north to southern Germany.
Pass by: The drive lasts just over 1.5 hours, so sit back, relax and take in the postcard-perfect scenery. Pass by Lake Schluchsee, the lush green hills and woods of the Black Forest.
Stop for roughly 2 hours in the picturesque town of Titisee-Neustadt, situated on the edge of Lake Titisee in the heart of the Black Forest. One of the area’s famous exports is German cuckoo clocks, so head inside Drubba – a prestigious clock producer – to see how these traditional clocks are made. Then, spend the rest of your time in the town at leisure; stroll around Lake Titisee independently, enjoy a boat ride or perhaps visit a café to sample the region’s legendary Black Forest Gateau (activities and food at your own expense). The rich cake -- also known as Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte -- is constructed as a chocolate cake, layered with cherries, whipped cream and lashings of cherry brandy.
Pass by: Meet your guide and travel south through the impressive spruce forests of Lenzkirch, working your way back into Switzerland.
Head into the Upper Rhine region to stop at Rhine Falls – Europe’s largest waterfalls – and enjoy a break of roughly 45 minutes. Gaze at the water as it crashes down a drop of 75 feet (23 meters), pose for photos, and stroll around admiring the scenery. (or take an optional boat ride)
Pass by: Return back to Zurich and finish your tour in the city center in the evening.

Traveler reviews
We loved the Rhine Falls....
We loved the Rhine Falls. The boat ride was an extra fee and only in cash. I felt the clock storw was lacking and the Germany experience was not overly exciting either. It was beautiful but not special. It was a drive and we stopped and was given an hour to snack or shop and that’s all.
Amazing Rhine Falls!
The falls were amazing and exciting! We had an excellent travel guide in Ramon. He was very knowledgeable, witty and caring.
Black Forest Tour
This tour was both fun and educational. We enjoyed our tour guide, Urs and all of his stories along the way. The visit to the falls was beautiful and learning about the cuckoo clocks was so fun! We enjoyed coffee and cake and it was truly a taste of heaven. What a great day we had!
Lovely drive and narration
Beatrice and George were wonderful guides. The drive through the black forest was really nice and Beatrice narrated the whole way.
A great day out in the Black Forest
Had a great day out in the Black Forest and Rhine Falls made all the more special by our tour guide, Urs. His knowledge of the regions that we visited was excellent and he explained things in great detail whilst being entertaining at the same time. He was very attentive and nothing was too much bother for him. I don't think that he'd mind me saying that for a gentleman of his age he is a dynamo and his communication skills with several different nationalities was very impressive. If you're lucky enough to get Urs as your tour guide in the future then you've struck gold.
