Great trip
This is a great tour. Bethlehem and Jericho were absolutely amazing to visit. If you go to Jericho and decide to go to the monastery you better be in good shape. There’s a lot of very steep steps to climb to reach it. The people in both towns were wonderful. I did not feel unsafe at all so don’t pay attention to the news. The Israeli and Palestinian tour guides were very knowledgeable and very nice. I’d take this tour again.
I really enjoyed the tour...
I really enjoyed the tour and was very interesting to see all of the sights. Avishay our driver and guide was very good and made the tour even more memorable! Would definitely recommend.
Jericho, Jordan River and Bethlehem in a nutshell.
Nice trip to Bethlehem to view the Nativity church, then on to the Jordan River to see the site where Jesus was baptized. Lastly, we visited Jericho. Ariel did a great job driving and was very flexible when we wanted to stop and see something. His explanations were very good. The only negative was our guide in Bethlehem.
Avishay Went Above and Beyond – A Truly Exceptional Guide
Of all the wonderful guides we met during our time in Israel, Avishay Levy stood out as truly exceptional. We were lucky enough to have Avishay for two tours — first to Nazareth and the Galilee, and then to Bethlehem and Jericho. On both occasions, he brought a calm, steady presence and a wealth of knowledge that elevated the experience far beyond a standard guided tour. What makes Avishay special is that he genuinely cares. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and fully immersed in the places we were visiting. He took time to help us capture photos and videos, answered every question with patience and insight, and always made us feel like we were in the best of hands. One moment that really stayed with us was on the Bethlehem and Jericho tour. Avishay didn’t need to come with us into Jericho — in fact, he told us it was the first time he had entered in over two years. But he chose to accompany us anyway. He said he felt compelled to be there, to personally ensure we felt safe and supported as we crossed into the Palestinian Territories. That gesture said everything about the kind of guide — and person — he is. His quiet leadership and sense of responsibility meant the world to us, and we were deeply touched by the care he showed. Avishay strikes the perfect balance between calm professionalism and passionate storytelling. He’s knowledgeable without being overwhelming, always approachable, and has a quiet charisma that draws you in. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking a deeper, richer understanding of the region. I would highly recommend Bein Harim tours - the best way to discover Israel and the surrounding territories.
Well looked after by the team, thanks!
Logistics was well organized, but as with most things, it's people that make the difference, and we certainly were in the good hands of a very professional trio. Big thanks to Itamar for the explanations in both English and Spanish and for pulling double duty as guide/driver; Miriam for managing our time expertly in Bethlehem, getting us through some horrendous queues at the Church of the Nativity while delivering explanations in English, Spanish and French; and last but not least, Ahmed's safe driving and keeping us all comfortable on his clean, comfortable bus. Our group had evening flights to catch, so the great time management was very much appreciated.
