Food Tour Plus Highlights
I picked this tour because it listed an English speaking guide and hotel pick up and drop off. Was not expecting an exclusive tour with just my friend with a host and a driver. They tailored this tour to our wants and needs and showed us all the local highlights with enthusiasm. Kudos to Andre and Carlos for a wonderful memorable tour. They were passionate, pleasant, professional and proud Colombians and proud residents of Barranquilla. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see tourist highlights and taste local fare. This tour exceeded my expectations and was truly the BEST tour ever taken as it was so personalized.
Experiencing Barranquilla
This tour was a wonderful experience. We wanted to see Barranquilla as we were only in the city one day. We got to explore a natural area and taste fresh coconut. Then off to see the river. We learned about the history and the industries in the area before arriving in the downtown area. Sampling foods from different cultures was a great experience. Our last stop was a restaurant and we had a wonderful shrimp cocktail. The guide was easy to understand and the driver was exceptional. This tour is a combination of experiences and not just about food.
Friendly, fun, food,
Orlando was a great guide and took us to a variety of interesting places (Ciénaga de Mallorquin, San Nicolas church, an ostreria, and of course a Fritos shop, to name just a few of the stops) all with great food and interesting stories and facts about each place. Highly recommend.
Disappointing tour
The tour guide and driver were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the guide’s English was limited. We had difficulty understanding him and he did not understand many of our questions. Most of the food was delicious. However we felt that there was too much handling and sharing of the food. We suggested that they serve individual portions.
Barranquilla food experience.
Our food experience was great. Started a little slow but picked up as the tour continued. We experienced many street foods and local foods. We felt like we were channeling Anthony Bourdain by the end of the tour. Highly recommended.
