The capital of the Ria, a vast lagoon where the freshwater of the River Vouga joins with the sea, Aveiro is intersected by canals, genuine streets of water, along which can be seen gliding the brightly coloured boats known as barcos moliceiros. Originally founded in the time of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, Aveiro is now one of the most interesting cities on the Portuguese coast. Discover the history of this beautiful city and tasty the traditional pastry, "Ovos Moles".
Cruise Aveiro's dazzling canals on a classic Moliceiro (traditional boat) Relax and enjoy the landscape on this traditional boat, that once was used to collect seagrass in the lagoon.
The last stop is Costa Nova do Prado beach, famous only by the name Costa Nova. The most picturesque aspect of Costa Nova is its coast road along which a line of wooden huts is painted in brightly coloured stripes alternating with white. Built by fishermen as shelters and equipment stores, the huts have now been converted into rather characteristic holiday homes.

Best Four Hours in a Sunday morning!
Susana was awesome. Great energy and lots of fun. Even when a few stragglers made it back a little late she made their late arrival humorous! Canal tour and the painted houses were worth it especially on a very hot day to get outside of Porto. I highly recommend spending four hours of your morning. Joel got us to and from safe and on time. Great driving.

The tour was great and took us to some very cool spots. The gondolas were a great way to explore. Susana and Joel were great with super high energy. We only wish that we were able to have time for some food and drinks at the stops. Would recommend!
