Itinerary
Pass by: Your expert guide will collect you from the meeting point and will drive you to Aveiro and Costa Nova. On your way to Aveiro, the guide will give you insights regarding the Portuguese history, development and cultural facts of portuguese heritage.
The capital of the Ria, a vast lagoon where the freshwater of the River Vouga joins with the sea, Aveiro is intersected by canals, genuine streets of water, along which can be seen gliding the brightly coloured boats known as barcos moliceiros. Originally founded in the time of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, Aveiro is now one of the most interesting cities on the Portuguese coast. Discover the history of this beautiful city and tasty the traditional pastry, "Ovos Moles".
Cruise Aveiro's dazzling canals on a classic Moliceiro (traditional boat) Relax and enjoy the landscape on this traditional boat, that once was used to collect seagrass in the lagoon.
The last stop is Costa Nova do Prado beach, famous only by the name Costa Nova. The most picturesque aspect of Costa Nova is its coast road along which a line of wooden huts is painted in brightly coloured stripes alternating with white. Built by fishermen as shelters and equipment stores, the huts have now been converted into rather characteristic holiday homes.

Traveler reviews
Too short but enjoyed it all.
Guide, Pedro Costa was excellent. Informative and entertaining. Driver Franco was great too. Enjoyed the trip very much but the ration of travel time vs free time wasn’t good. Think the trip should be a little longer.
Sweet treat
Pedro Costa and Franco were fabulous tour guides! Beautiful views and such chilled vibes. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon trip, especially the little surprise sweet treat!
Perfect quaint half day
What a wonderful half day trip! It was exactly what I needed to see these quaint places and still make my flight later. Pedro was a great guide! Informative, fun and kind! Franco was a great driver as well! All in all, a perfect half day of seeing more of beautiful Portugal!
Aviero your and boat ride
The tour was educational and sites were beautiful, especially the original architecture. The boat ride on the canal was perfect; not too long or too short. My only criticism is that the guide narrated in both French and English so there were long periods where we tuned out. Would have been more enjoyable if the guide only spoke one language.
Half day tour review
Pedro costa e Franco was an ethusiastic guide and made the day very enjoyable.
