Pretty but not much going on
The tour guide was great. The two cities we visited were pretty. But, there wasn't much to do there and the time there was short. The ride to get there was long. So, I don't think I would recommend this just because there wasn't much going on in either city.
Aveiro and Costa Nova
Thankfully the weather cooperated. Beautiful day. Everything was great. Loved Rafael our guide and Diego, our driver. Rafael explained in both English and Spanish alternating between the two languages perfectly enough to keep us all interested. Visited each location under 1/2 hour - perfect for me. I would have loved to visit Aveiro a little bit longer but really, just restaurants and gift shops so there's only so much you can do there. The boat ride was fun and interesting. The guide explained a lot of the history and took the time to answer questions. Overall, I would recommend this tour.
It was nice to see the...
It was nice to see the striped houses but we were only there for about 20 minutes. The bus was completely packed and so crowded. The boat trip was completely overrated. I would have skipped the trip had I known!
Short introduction the the coastal towns
Philip was a wonderful guide. We enjoyed seeing more of the coast and hearing the unique stories of the communities. To truly enjoy the area, I would want to spend more time in each location but the half day is the amount of time we had available and for that this is a great tour.
