Must Do While in Athens
This was an amazing experience and one of the best experiences on my trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to the best and most authentic places.
Thank You Diane Kochilas For Sharing Athens with Me
Four and a half hours of walking, experiencing, eating and drinking with an incredible tour guide Nicole Tsakiri—-a delightful way to tour Athens, with all it’s charm and history, both ancient and modern. Starting in Syntagma Square and ending at the Central Market, near Omonia, had me revel in a gastronomical adventure that Dionysus would approve.Quaint shops with specialities, sweets, pitas, honey, meze, ouzo, seafood, souvlaki and coffee fueled our jaunt through the various neighborhoods around the Acropolis…Monastiraki is a hoot. Traditions and change were put into an appropriate prospective, by Nicole whom is a trained architect. Her love for this lively, seductive city, is evident in the non-scripted narrative and stories she shared. This experience is an engaging and innovative way to catch the Athenian vibe. Toward the end this adventure…I was stuffed and appreciated the fact the I had tripled my fitness step count. One of the highlights of my time in Athens was partying at an OUZEPI/BOITE to listen and dance to Rembetika, which Nicole knowingly recommended. OPA…Greek Food Walking Tour in Athens!
Great time with a wonderful guide
Our guide was full of energy and great information. The selections to taste were magnificent. What an introduction into the Greek foodie life. Didn’t need dinner that evening.
