Itinerary
Pass by: Leave Lisbon behind as you cross the Tagus River on the Vasco da Gama Bridge. Built for the 1998 Lisbon Universal Exposition, it is the longest bridge in Europe at nearly 11 miles (17 km) long
From Tuesday to Saturday, starting on the 1st of June, we stop at the Market of Setúbal, considered one of the most beautiful and lively markets in the world: from exotic local fishes to vegetable, fruits, bakeries and cheese.
Only on mondays: Visit the Palmela Castle and ascend the walls and tower for an amazing photo opportunity
You will then follow your guide to a wine tasting session at Casa Museu Jose Maria da Fonseca, one of the oldest wine-producers in Portugal. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery and sample two wines (included) from a wide selection of regional wines.
Pass by: Continue to the northern shore of the Sado River and discover the beauty of Arrabida Natural Park. Climb to the tallest peak at 1,640 feet (500 meters) and gaze over the verdant park towards the Atlantic and the beaches below.
Stop for a fresh seafood lunch (own expense) in the charming fishing town of Sesimbra. Spend more free time strolling along lively streets or continue for a walk along golden beaches.
Visit a beautiful local family owned wine farm in the heart of Arrábida park, where it is time to taste some wine
Finally, visit the Cristo Rei Sanctuary, inaugurated in 1959 and inspired by the famous Cristo Rei monument in Brazil, and admire Lisbon from a distance before returning to the city.

Great Day trip!
Enjoyable tour with Maria! Visited two wineries. The first was very traditional (and had a bit of a haunted wine cellar complete with monks chanting) and the second was very modern. We also saw a ton of sites that might have been hard to get to otherwise and enjoyed a lovely grilled fish lunch.
Our tour guide was the...
Our tour guide was the kindest man. He took time to share about where we traveled to and even took our pictures.
See the countryside
Maria was a great tour guide! Great way to see the countryside outside of Lisbon and to drink some wine.
Not enough wine tasting
There were too many stops for things that were not of interest. There were only 2 wineries and 5 tastings (not 6 as advertised). We did not need 1 hour 45 minutes in town to have lunch. Since it was Sunday, all shops were closed. Very little to do in the town of Sisembro. I suggest you make this a full winery tour and cut out all of the other stops. The food market was ok, but I did not need fresh fish at 9 in the morning. That stop did not make sense to me.
Awesome
We did our tour with Benny and he was outstanding. He was fun and super knowledgeable. He was happy to chat and answer any questions. Was super patient and we didn’t ever feel rushed. We loved the tour. Thanks Benny!
