Cool (but hot) tour of Rome

We had an amazing experience with our guide Andy! It was a full day tour, and our guide was very engaging and knowledgeable — for every question we had, he had an engaging and in-depth answer, also carefully emphasizing what we do or do not know. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we would highly recommend!

Rome in a day...or two!

Let me start by saying this was a well thought out tour with our excellent guide named Brando. We arranged a full day chauffeur service as our group has age ranges from 20-80 and we wanted all to have the opportunity to rest when needed, leave bag in car, etc. to start the day, our drivers ( we had two vans) picked us up at our flat around 10:30 and took us to meet our guide Brando at our first stop at the the Colosseum. There are many steps to get down to the entrance and Brando was very helpful and patient as we assisted our limited mobility family members down the stairs. Since we were on a private tour, we were able to access a shorter line to get into the Colosseum. Brando was well versed in his history and was happy to answer all of our questions along the way. He took breaks when we needed them and was always friendly and engaging with our group. Next we hit the Forum Throughout the day, Brando tailored the tour to our pace and needs. He was able to secure a lunch reservation for us at a wonderful restaurant away from the touristy spots so we could recharge our battery in a quiet atmosphere with great food and wine and air conditioning!! After lunch we were able to visit more sites- st clementine church ( unbelievable history here); catacombs and circus Maximus. It was a full day of history, family and sightseeing. While private tours can be pricey, this was worth every penny. Would highly recommend the add on of having a driver at your disposal especially if traveling with disabled, elderly or kids in case you need a reset or a break from the original plan. Brando was an amazing guide , I recommend him strongly!! We did a two day Rome tour so this was only part one. We were also able to do two non consecutive days which I would also recommend since the day is long and exhausting. We broke our two days up with another Liv Tour cooking class which was Fabulous!!

Great Tour with Sara

Had a great tour by Sara (SaraRock)! She gave us great information and was very knowledgeable on how to navigate the lines to get us through quickly. She answered our questions and always encouraged us to ask more to meet all our queries. I'd recommend her and this tour :) the colosseum portion was especially interesting!
