Full description

Experience the cultural and scenic highlights of southwest France on this full-day small-group tour from Toulouse. Begin with a visit to Albi, whose remarkable Episcopal City is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its unique red-brick architecture and historic urban layout. Discover the impressive Sainte-Cécile Cathedral, the largest brick cathedral in the world and one of the most striking monuments of southern Gothic architecture.

Continue to the picturesque hilltop village of Cordes-sur-Ciel, founded in the 13th century and famous for its medieval streets and panoramic views.

The day concludes in the Gaillac wine region, one of the oldest vineyards in France, where you enjoy a tasting of regional wines produced from traditional grape varieties.
Combining heritage, villages and wine, this tour offers a complete discovery of the Tarn region.

Discover the UNESCO City of Albi
Located about one hour from Toulouse, Albi is famous for its Episcopal City, an exceptional medieval ensemble recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. The highlight of the city is the Cathedral of Saint-Cecilia, an extraordinary fortress-like structure built between the 13th and 15th centuries and considered the largest brick cathedral in the world.  Visitors can stroll through the historic center, admire the red-brick architecture and enjoy views over the Tarn River.

Explore the Hilltop Village of Cordes-sur-Ciel
Perched high above the surrounding countryside, Cordes-sur-Ciel is one of the most picturesque villages in the region. Founded in 1222, the medieval bastide preserves winding streets, Gothic houses and artisan workshops that give visitors the impression of stepping back in time. The village is often surrounded by morning mist, creating the impression that it is floating above the clouds.

Discover the Gaillac Wine Region
The tour continues through the vineyards of Gaillac, one of the oldest wine-producing regions in France with a history of more than two millennia. Here you visit a local winery and enjoy a tasting of regional wines, discovering traditional grape varieties and the winemaking heritage of southwest France.

We had a very fun day with Matt to Mont Saint-Mitchel. Matt is an excellent tour guide & he cared for his clients very much. He's an on time person. We learned a lot about the history of Saint-Mitchel via Matt. He made sure we have enough time browsing this beautiful UNESCO. We definitely recommend friends & family this tour. Thank you Matt

Pascal was, above all, a smiling whirlwind of energy from the very start — bursting with knowledge, passion, and just the right amount of dramatic flair. He painted the horror of the Omaha Beach invasion so vividly that we could practically hear the chaos, then marched us through the bunkers at Pointe du Hoc like we were on a mission ourselves. And before we even caught our breath, he had already catapulted us back to Bayeux at invasion speed. A legend in tour‑guide form. Thanks from Croatian Team😉

Our Normandy D-Day tour was well worth it and we so enjoyed our tour guide Matt. He made the tour engaging, entertaining and informative. The tour was just the right size and a half day was perfect for us. It would have been much harder to get around to the sites and understand each without the information that Matt was constantly sharing. There was hardly a time that Matt was not telling us what/how/when of what we were looking at. Thanks Matt!

Additional information

The Tarn region combines medieval heritage, historic bastide towns and one of the oldest wine traditions in southwest France, making it a particularly rich cultural destination for visitors based in Toulouse.

Please note: In France, snacks are usually not provided during wine tastings to preserve the purity of the wine's flavor. We recommend having a good breakfast or lunch beforehand.
