Unforgettable

I was right to be a bit worried about the volcano hike, at 69-years-old but reasonably fit. I soon drifted to the back of the group with another traveller and would have appreciated a slower pace. I had read that the hike takes about 4 hours but our guide said it would take about 3 😳. However, having reached the lava field, what awaited us was truly unforgettable: walking on warm lava, walking in line so as not to fall into a hollow under the lava crust, the brilliantly coloured minerals in the lava, the extent of the black lava stream, the views all around. Unforgettable. On the way back, our guide walked back to accompany the last straggler. A wonderful day out with everything else we saw on the trip

Great way to spend a day on the trails near Reykjavik

Our guide Alain was great. Went out of his way on a beautiful day to make the most of our trip. Only downside is the number of pick ups and drop offs at the beginning and end.

Great Tour guide Alain!

Alain was fantastic! Great weather so it was an amazing day. As a result….Alain made several extra stops and really made the most of our tour. Highly recommended if you have a full day.
