Enjoy the spectacular views of Kleifarvatn Lake.
In July 2023, a new eruption began to the north of Fagradalsfjall. The eruption lasted only 3 weeks but left a big impact with a huge amount of lava released on the area. Hike to volcano eruption sites through the mossy-covered lava fields and mountains with our expert tour guide. The difficulty rating of the hike is considered moderate.
Pass by: Drive around the Reykjanes Peninsula seeing these various natural wonders and unique surroundings.
Take a walk through the bubbling mud pots and hissing steam vents at Gunnuhver Hot Springs an awesome experience for all the senses and fun for pictures.

- Update August 9th: The flow of new lava at Litli-Hrutur has stopped, at least for the time being. The area is still smoldering and is fascinating to visit.

Adventurous Volcano Hike
Great hike and wonderful time with guide, Ottar! It was an adventurous hike and would recommend for those who like rugged nature (would be good to bring grippy shoes). Overall, had a great time!
Mind-blowing tour, and Ottar was the best guide!
This tour was phenomenal from start to finish. Hiking across the newly formed lava fields was an otherworldly experience. Our guide, Ottar, was great—he was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone had an amazing time. Combined with the boiling hot springs and dramatic coastal views, it felt like exploring another planet.

Our family had a great time on this exclusion. Vjeran was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Pickup near our hotel was easy. The volcano hike was a bit challenging but paced so a beginner could do it. Appropriate footwear and clothing is a must. There were many unscheduled bonus stops along the way which was appreciated.
