Great tour and even better tour guide!

Our tour of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum was very informative. Our guide, “crazy” Anna was truly excellent. She was enthusiastic, very knowledgeable (she had a degree in archeology), and engaged everyone in our group. Our group of 8 ranged in age from 15-76 and she made a point of involving everyone during her presentations. Not everyone can or does accomplish that. She said her dream in life was to be a tour guide so she could share her Greek heritage and history with others. This desire showed in her conduct of the tour. I highly recommend the tour company and especially Anna!

I would have given one...

I would have given one star but the extra star is for the tour guide who was very nice, knowledgeable and nothing described here was her fault. Upon us starting the tour, it started pouring. The rain had started when the group was still at the meeting point- the Walking Tour office. It is a standard practice, or as I thought it was, to provide ponchos to the participants or at least give them a chance to buy one. The rain was sudden and not showing on the radar, but lasted for more than half of the tour. It was pouring. We watched other tours walk by all wearing ponchos, as we stood in the rain trying to listen to the guide via our radios. Five minutes later, most radios got wet and died. In the large crowd it was then impossible to hear anything. So for the $80+ per person, we basically power walked (or slid as the marble steps are very slippery when wet) around Acropolis. Waste of money.

The guide makes the tour!

Be prepared for some uphill walking, But it is well worth it. Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable on the history. And architecture of what we were seeing.

An Unforgettable Day at the Acropolis!

We had an absolutely incredible day touring the Acropolis and the Parthenon! Our guide was phenomenal—even though her name escapes me, her passion and expertise made an unforgettable impression on our entire trip. Here is what made this tour so spectacular: A Masterclass in History: The day was absolutely packed with fascinating information. She didn’t just recite facts; she brought ancient Greece to life with captivating storytelling. Seamless Navigation: Exploring such a massive, historic site can feel overwhelming, but she guided us effortlessly, making sure we saw all the highlights without feeling rushed. Engaging & Personable: Her energy was fantastic from start to finish, and she was incredibly patient and thorough when answering all of our questions. If you are visiting Athens, this tour is an absolute must-do. It completely exceeded our expectations, and we can't recommend this guide enough!
