Ottar was an amazing guide. Loved that he grew up in Iceland and could share so much stories and history. He went above and beyond to make the trip memorable.

Just a stunning country. Our driver/guide, Michael, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Because of the weather (March can be a bit stormy), we had to adjust our itinerary on a couple days. Michael aptly made adjustments so that we could still see much of what was planned and he kept us well informed. Despite the storms, it was a great experience and we benefitted from smaller crowds. The small group made it easy to connect with others and the accommodations were well picked. Michael also made sure that we were informed of any amenities around the hotel so that we could take advantage of these (ex. small cafes, grocery store, local pool, restaurants). BusTravel was a great company to travel with. Highly recommended!!
Great slice of Iceland
Our guide and driver HBO was fantastic and did an amazing job to keep us ahead of some bad weather on day one and wonderful commentary throughout the trip. The bus was disappointing and felt very cramped, and there was no adequate room for our belongings. Hotel stays were quite good.
Best tour we’ve experienced
We just finished our 6-day Ring Road tour with Runar, and wow, it was hands down the best travel experience we’ve ever had! Runar was an incredible guide, a skilled driver, a true local with deep knowledge, a great sense of humor, and so much passion for sharing Iceland’s beauty and stories. Every day was perfectly planned, full of breathtaking sights, fun surprises, and great energy. We don’t usually join group tours, but our small group of 13 turned out to be amazing. The accommodation choices were also fantastic, super comfortable, beautifully set, and even stocked with lovely touches like L’Occitane toiletries! And to top it all off, we were lucky enough to see the northern lights multiple times, even one morning just before the sun was rising, what an unforgettable treat! This trip far exceeded all our expectations and we can’t recommend Runar and this tour enough!
Wonderful tour
We had an amazing 6-day Ring Road trip! Rúnar did a fantastic job sharing Iceland’s rich history while guiding us through its stunning landscapes. He even took us on a wonderful Northern Lights hunting tour and gave us great food recommendations along the way.
