Traveler reviews
4 days in tge Amazon Rain forest on the La Perla
The boat was wonderful, the food delectable and the experiences and adventures were once in a life time. The naturalists Daniel and Robinson were wonderful and knowledgeable. The ambience on board was eclectic. We were sixteen tourists and there was nightly music and dance performed by the crew and ably “oiled” by Martin the bartender. ;) But Im sure there are equally nice experiences out there on the Amazon, after all that’s what these companies selll…the place itself is enchanted but what made this trip memorable were the little touches!! - Like the freezing cold towel offered after a particularly hot and humid cruise , -the welcome juice on board each time on return from an adventure . Even these may have been preplanned ….but , when we had to use a filthy restroom en route once and one of the crew members was standing right by with a toilet paper roll and sanitizer, -like they had the departure boarding passes already printed upon arrival at the airport, - like they waited till every last person had checked in for the return flight to ensure that there were no hiccups, these things were probably not scripted and were the human touches that made the whole experience so magical. Bravo!!!! Ps: any future voyagers please watch out for the night time excursion, pitch dark with just the sounds of nature gone crazy all around … it’s a surreal experience
