Outstanding tour!

Lee, our driver/tour guide, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the history and answered all of our questions. He was also very thoughtful and considerate to make sure everyone was enjoying the experience. The itinerary was full but we did have some time to rest during longer drives. It was the perfect combination of activities. This tour makes me want to return to Scotland to experience more of this beautiful country.

Perfect tour to experience the Highlands

A great tour where Brodie really did everything possible to get the best out of it. His selection of history, stories and music provided a silver lining to the whole experience. Also, the setup was perfect with two nights in Inverness.

Doesn’t drop you back in Glasgow

Ben, our guide, was a great driver, very knowledgeable and did a good job with keeping things moving efficiently. The only downside is that the tour information claims you get dropped back at the pickup location which is only true for those picked up in Edinburgh. They give you a train ticket if you have to go back to Glasgow which is not as advertised so plan for an extra hour

Bonnie Scotland, not so Bonnie tour.

The highlands are extremely beautiful, and nothing could have prepared us for the sights we were to behold. The Glen Coe, the Lochs and the hairy coos - the unique and wonderful landscapes of Bonnie Scotland. However, there are somethings that I want to bring to your attention. 1. The pick up points must be detailed well on the itinerary - for example the Glasgow one being right in front of RSNO. The Google location takes you in front of the Buchanan bus station. 2. The driver cannot be responsible for giving us a guided tour and driving us around. That’s too much pressure on them as a driver - and they won’t be able to provide us with a very great explanation of what exactly we are seeing. The driver must be allowed to focus entirely on driving us around as it is very important and they have the safety of themselves and the passengers in their hands. 3. An alternative could be to provide us with pamphlets - that could accompany what little is being told by the driver. This also helps with people that find it difficult to understand different accents as most people on the tour are from different parts of the world. 4. Our tour guide + driver was doing a good job as a driver, but I felt that as a tour guide, he was not all that passionate and enthusiastic - a sentiment I witnessed in most guided tours I have taken in the UK. Moreover, he was rude to us for being 2 mins late (2 minutes being the exact duration ) due to a personal issue. I have been living in Glasgow for the past 5 months and Scottish people are very warm, polite and kind. They are very friendly and easy to talk to but I did not feel the same Scottish warmth from him. If it weren’t for the beautiful highlands, this trip would’ve been a rather uninteresting one.
