Traveler reviews
Loved Alex ✌️
Alex was a great tour guide. Funny, and casual. Talked to us like friends instead of as an audience, which I liked. Good trip down to Cork and back.
Awful pick up location directions and customer service
Awful experience. Note to fellow travelers. Your bus may be unmarked and arrive at a different location than the one provided in your instructions. There may be other excursions and guests leaving from the same spot. There will be no Paddywagon signs, and your driving may be inside the bus. Have a way to be contacted, as your driver will leave without you if you are not able to be reached.
A highlight of our trip!
Took the PaddyWagon to Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty castle, etc. Our guide and driver was Gerry and he was so entertaining with his knowledge, fun stories, sense of humor and all around super nice human!
Paddywagon 2 Day experience
The meeting point was central and a rep from Paddywagon was there waiting for us and directed us to the bus. Cullen was a great driver on his big clean bus. We had some temperature issues in the bus and he addressed them. The rest of the ride was comfortable. The hotel in Galway was nice but a bit out of the center of town. We had to take a taxi to dinner and back. Breakfast at the hotel was a nice plentiful buffet. Gordon picked us up and toured to the Cliffs with us. His passion for Ireland was evident as he drove us around and explained everything in a clear humorous way. After lunch we had to change busses since we were going back to Dublin. We had an hour unnecessary layover at the restaurant waiting for our next bus. Michael came and took us into his bus from the restaurant for the test of the tour back to Dublin. Mike was excellent too.
Tour Did Not Match What Was Advertised
The places listed on the Paddywagon website for this tour were largely not visited. Very disappointing, as that was the main reason we booked this trip. The guide was new, didn’t know the full route, and improvised large parts of the tour. When we pointed out that several advertised stops had been skipped, she avoided the question. She called it “go with the flow” — , but in this case it just felt like an excuse not to follow the itinerary. If I travel to Ireland again, I won’t be choosing Paddywagon.
