Poor Communication Cause Us Stress

Nice relaxing trip to see the Ring of Kerry except for an issue with miscommunications. The meetup location was changed the night before our departure and we were not notified. We ran to two different locations before finding our tour guide. On our trip description, it states that entrance to all attractions would be free. We ended up paying an entrance fee for both attractions. Plus we were suppose to have "first class" seats on the train. We were seated in the regular coach section. We have used Viator many times in the past. This is the first time we encountered problems. When we addressed the issue of not being communicated about the change in the departure location, the tour guide, Andrew, said, "There is your truth, my truth and the real truth". Really? The truth was no one contacted us with the change. And, prior to leaving us in Killarney our first tour guide had walked us to the meet up location so we know exactly where we needed to meet.

Best way to see the country - even better with Norman and John!!!

This is the best way to see this beautiful country! We started the tour with Norman, who was truly the best introduction to the Irish railway system. You could see immediately how passionate he is about his job and the culture. Then, our tour guide in Kerry, John, was both knowledgable and thoughtful. Both Norman and John made us feel safe and provided detailed information about our trip. Our only suggestion for travelers is to pack light. While the accommodation in Killarney was excellent, you may not have much room on the bus/train.

Awesome Tour!

We started our tour with Joe - whose job was to meet us at the train in Dublin, ride with us and make sure we made it to our hotel safely. The tour set us up at the Killarney Avenue Hotel and it was wonderful! We walked around, grabbed a bite to eat and continued exploring. The following day we linked up with Bryan, who took us on our tour of the Ring of Kerry and various stops along the way. The entire time he shared the rich history of the region and was safe and punctual. Afterwards, we were dropped off at the train station where Joe was there to escort us safely back to Dublin! Wonderful experience and would highly recommend!

Killarney & Ring of Kerry

This tour was absolutely wonderful! I cannot say enough about it! John Mcdonald was our tour guide that picked us up at the train station in Dublin and rode with us all the way to Killarney. He was so informative, so friendly, and very patient. He pointed out all kinds of things we never would have learned about if we did another kind of tour. We had three hours of one-on-one time to pick his brain about everything about Ireland! He was a wonderful man and once we arrived in Killarney, he showed us the basic lay of the land and pointed us in the right way for some of the greatest pubs to go to for a good lunch! He also was very thorough in making sure we knew exactly where to go for our tour the next day to the ring of Kerry. He also advised us on a couple of other attractions -for instance-the Ross Castle that we also were able to make it to in time because of his thorough instructions! Then upon our return to Dublin, he met us at the Killarney train station early and got us all set! It was e dry but worth the money! Highly recommend!
