This is reportedly the site of the conversion of King Aenghus of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century. For centuries The Rock of Cashel has been the seat of the High Kings of Munster. Most of the buildings on the current site date from the 12th and 13th centuries when the rock was gifted to the Church. This limestone rocky spectacle is immersed in well over 1000 years of Irish History. As you approach the Rock of Cashel you will be amazed by the grandeur and sheer size of this ancient masterpiece. The effort that must have gone into this incredible site leaves a lot to the imagination. We arrive here fully informed for a lovely walkaround the site walking the footsteps of those who have done centuries before us.

Enjoy one hour in Cork city, Ireland's southern capital. Highlights include the gourmet English Markets (1788) with a large selection of food stalls representing the best of local produce. Queen Elizabeth II of England thoroughly enjoyed meeting local artisans here on her State Visit in 2011! Also known as the “Rebel City” for its fierce resistance during the War of Independence, Cork has a vibrant Irish atmosphere. Perhaps sample a pint of Murphy's Irish Stout or pick up a bottle of Paddy Flaherty Irish Whiskey.

BLARNEY CASTLE Famed in song and story, the Irish are famous for the “Blarney”. Kiss the Blarney Stone and you too will receive this “gift of the gab” - 7 years of eloquent speech. Situated on the battlements of Blarney Castle you will have to bend over backwards to kiss the stone! You have time to enjoy a stroll around the fabulous gardens of the Blarney Estate or maybe enjoy the beautiful Lake Walk. We also visit the Witches Cave in the castle grounds before having plenty of time to indulge in the tax free shopping haven of the Blarney Woollen Mills and craft shop.

Amazing Private tour to Blarney/Cashel/Cork with Val
Our private tour with Val to Blarney Stone/Cashel/Cork was amazing! Val was knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating—he even brought us snacks for the trip! We loved the thoughtful extras and appreciated his comfortable, clean van! He had great food and bar recommendations (knew where every bathroom stop was in Ireland lol) and was very flexible when we wanted to shop. I would highly recommend him 100%!
Val is the best!!
Valentine O’Brien is a gift and a blessing. He was our guide/driver/expert for our entire week in Ireland. He is outstanding and made every day amazing. He speaks four languages, an experienced pilot and a historian. We highly recommend him for any trip you take to Ireland.
It’s all about the locals.
On a recommendation, we hired Val for 3 days in Cork. If one wants to see some of the local spots, local restaurants, and just local fun, Val is your man. He intermingles tourist areas with local areas you would never find yourself. Coming with a wealth of knowledge and a love for his country, we quite quickly became friends. If i could give a superlative rating, this would be the one tour I would give it to.
Adventure awaits with Val!
Absolutely incredible experience with Val! He shared his knowledge of Ireland with us and brought us to multiple sites based on our interests! Our excursion lasted about 10 hours and we enjoyed every moment! Val was thoughtful, fun and an excellent driver! My family can’t wait to return to Ireland to spend another day with Val!
“Whisked Away: A Scenic Adventure to the Cliffs and Beyond”
Our family had an unforgettable day with Val of Your Irish Tours. Val’s exceptional knowledge of Ireland made our tour feel personal and insightful. We visited the stunning Cliffs of Moher, braving the wind and snow, but Val ensured we were well taken care of, especially with a cozy stop at McGann’s nearby. Along the way, we discovered hidden gems with spectacular views of the cliffs and charming small towns. A highlight was visiting Sean’s Bar, the oldest in Ireland (and possibly the world), where we enjoyed a pint and some rich history. Val’s personable approach made the experience truly special. Highly recommend!
