Traveler reviews
Move along.
Terrible activity. Rafting is a bit of a stretch; it’s a ride in an inflatable boat. You paddle five times. You eat in record time at a pseudo ranch, wondering if the trash has ever been cleaned, it’s a horror! 25 minutes by bus one way and the same for the return. A crazy crowd, so you shouldn’t go too fast to avoid being jostled. In short, it’s to be avoided.
Amazing day on the river!
We had an amazing time paddling on the Colorado River. We rode in the oar frame raft with our excellent guide Hope. She knew the river well and made the experience fun and exciting. The guides were all very professional and fun. We especially liked talking with Mike and Warren who are knowledgeable about the geology and native history of the area. Cannot recommend enough! Book this trip!!
Navtech full day West Canyon White Water Rafting
Our full-day West Canyon white water rafting tour with Navtech Adventures was not disappointing. Water levels were unusually low this year, but we still experienced plenty of exciting Class III and IV rapids — and even the smaller rapids were a lot of fun. Our guide, Michael, was extremely knowledgeable about the geography and local history of the areas we covered, both on the river and during the drive. In addition, Michael had a great sense of humor and more importantly, he had amazing rafting skills that kept us safe while still allowing us to enjoy a fun and exciting experience. Safety was always emphasized throughout the trip. The other guides who contributed to the experience, Addy and Will, were also fun and knowledgeable. There was clearly a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among all the guides, and they all had a great sense of humor while consistently reinforcing safety throughout the day.
Lots of drive time
The whitewater part is maybe only 40 min but the drive there and back is about 3 hours total. There is plenty of other time on fairly flat river but the views and eagles and heron was great. Will was a great guide and did all the rowing / steering so if you want to paddle be sure to ask about it. Lunch was awesome!
Enjoyable adrenaline fun
Amazing rafting trip down the Colorado river in Westerwater, an area of the river near the Colorado/Utah border. It involves a few hours drive to the start, mostly through gorgeous area alongside the river, but the white water and wildlife make it worth the effort. Friendly and informative guides. Thanks for the trip!
