The Manufacturing and Learning Part Was Only For A Few Seconds!!!
I expected something much more than the few seconds I was given explaining the process of manufacturing. The main interest was to sell me Papyrus paintings. They were good to look at but I didn't want to shell out good money on buying.

If you go to Egypt, you MUST go to a Papyrus Factory! While there are multiple, Osama of Emo Tours took us to one of the best in Giza following our Giza trip. You are greeted by one of the owners of the shop, and he shows you an authentic papyrus plant, and explains the process by which papyrus is made. He also gives you tips on understanding what is, and is not, authentic papyrus i.e., the cheap stuff you may by elsewhere which looks nice may actually be made from banana leaf. We were then offered Egyptian Tea or coffee and escorted through the shop to see some of the beautiful artwork! I ended up getting a glow in the dark Nefertiti on papyrus which is stunning. You also have the option to have your or a loved one's name added to the papyrus in either or both Arabic and heiroglyphics. If you are looking for beautiful and unique gifts that are a signature of Egypt, definitely do this tour!
