Excellent historical war tour!

An excellent tour! Our host was incredibly knowledgable about the American War in using sharing personal family stories. You spend quite bit of time driving, but that is to be expected considering how far away Khe Sahn is from Hue/the coast - the bright side is that you get some wonderful views of the countryside. Khe Sahn was very somber, the DMZ and bridge was peaceful and the tunnels were an incredible testament to people's ingenuity for survival. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking to get an initial understanding for what the areas in the war were like.

DMZ experience is eye-opening

This was a great tour. I highly recommend it to those wanting to know about this sad chapter in Vietnam’s history. Mr Tuan (guide) and Mr Hiep (driver) were very knowledgeable and courteous and fun to be with. I have some mobility problems yet they were very accommodating. The only negative part was the included lunch which was plentiful but not very tasty. Street food would have been far better I am sure. But thanks for an interesting and eye-opening day of discovery and sights.

Exceptional, Knowledgeable tour, great value for money

An amazing tour, our driver and tour guide were both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Our lunch and refreshments were first class. We would recommend this tour to all whom wish to better understand the Vietnam war and the struggles that the South Vietnamese endured during this time.

Our tour of the Vietnam DMZ was a...

Our tour of the Vietnam DMZ was a fascinating and emotional day for me. Our tour guide, Hai, was fantastic. Her English-speaking skills were exceptional and her knowledge of the area was vast. She told interesting stories about each of the places we visited. My interest in seeing this and learning more was rooted in my own history as a student during the days of the Vietnam war. Hai was able to make the history of that time come alive with all that she told us. We saw areas where the war was fought and learned that the DMZ was actually the most militarized area of the war. We learned about the effects of Napalm and Agent Orange that continue to impact the lives of the people today. Seeing the former U.S. Marine base at Khe Sahn was especially interesting because we were there 50 years after the brutal battle that took place there, starting just before the 1968 Tet Offensive. The tour of the Vinh Moc tunnels was so interesting to me because it was something I was unaware of and to learn of the people who lived in that tunnel system during the war was quite amazing. Hai did a wonderful job of telling the history of the Vietnamese people, both North and South, and I found it quite touching to realize all that they have lived through for so many years. Hearing all that she told us touched me deeply as I was reminded how lives were impacted no matter what side of that conflict people were on. If you have an interest in the history of the American War in Vietnam, this tour is a must. Hai's insights will stay with me for years to come. I give this tour my highest recommendation!

A great day out

I first did this tour 10 years ago. It has gotten better! We visited the Rockpile, a minority village, Dakrong bridge, Khe Sanh airbase (that has really developed nicely), ben tre river/bridge, a cemetery and of course the Vinh Moc tunnels. The tunnels have been developed a bit as well, which is nice to see. Our guide was okay, but missed out some important information I remembered from before, such as the bomb crater ponds in the rice fields, and the drilling bomb ventilation shaft in the tunnels. She was very knowledgeable in the history, though. This is a great tour but a long day (worth it). The stop for lunch was also delicious but check the waitress's math!
