Jen is amazing
Great Tour!! You have to do the Marie Antionette hamlet it’s surreal. Our guide Jen was fantastic, she peppered the tour with just the right amount of historic fact, and gossip (some a bit gruesome, but those were the times). I can’t recommend this Fat Tire Tours enough and if you get a chance to go with Jen, all the better.
OJ the entertainer
Our cycle tour through the gardens of Palace of Versailles was one of the highlights of our trip to France. OJ was a knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining guide who brought the history of Versailles to life. His stories about Louis XIV, his extravagant tastes, and his desire to create a palace unlike any other were fascinating and kept everyone in the group interested and entertained. We loved his humour. The bikes were excellent—comfortable seats, smooth gears, and perfect for exploring the extensive gardens and grounds. Cycling through the beautiful surroundings was such an enjoyable way to experience Versailles. The tour also included entry into the Palace of Versailles itself, and stepping inside was simply incredible. The sheer opulence is a sensory overload in the best possible way. Every room seemed more magnificent than the last. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Versailles. It was the perfect combination of history, beautiful scenery, and fun, made even better by OJ's enthusiasm and storytelling. An unforgettable experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
An unforgettable tour with an amazing guide!
My daughter and I had an incredible time on the half-day bike tour of Versailles—it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide, Oğulcan ("OJ"), was fantastic. He shared so many interesting and fun facts throughout the tour and kept the energy upbeat, even in the extreme heat. He was incredibly thoughtful, making sure everyone knew where to refill water, keeping us in the shade whenever possible, and regularly checking in to see if anyone needed a break. I hadn't ridden a bike in quite a while, but OJ made me feel completely at ease. His instructions were clear, easy to follow, and he made both my daughter and me feel very safe throughout the ride. His kindness, patience, and positive attitude really made the experience special. He also shared great recommendations for places to visit in Paris, which was an added bonus. I'm so glad my daughter and I decided to do this tour—it was a wonderful way to experience Versailles, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, memorable, and well-organized adventure.
Lots of walking + some biking (good tour)
Vlad was a great, entertaining tour guide. Seeing Marie Antoinette’s hamlet was definitely a highlight. The grounds are beautiful. Would not recommend on a very hot day. We chose a bike tour because my daughter has limited walking mobility and this was a LOT more walking than I expected from a “bike tour.” (It took her a full day to recover and she also skipped walking through the chateau (palace), which is at the end and a ton more walking after the hamlet. If you’re up for a lot of walking (plus some easy biking), this is a fabulous option.
Great way to see the gardens!
Our guide, Annie was amazing! She gave us great information throughout the tour. I would definitely book another tour with this company and especially with Annie.
