Disappointing

The start of the tour was chaotic. We met on a crowded corner where several tour buses were leaving. Our bus wasn’t there until later and the tour guide had no sign and was hard to identify. My visit to Verona was spoiled because the tour guide, Eleanora, walked way too fast for a group that size trying to walk together in a crowded area and she was quickly out of range of the audio device. This meant several of the group had no audio introduction to Verona. She never once looked back to check that the group was with her. We considered abandoning the tour at Verona but decided it would be too difficult. In the end we were glad we stayed as the visit to Sirmione and the Lake Garda boat ride were a highlight. The bus itself had poor air conditioning, a sunroof that couldn’t be covered and at least one broken seat. This made the long trip hot and uncomfortable. The areas are lovely but probably better visited in a small group or independently.

Astonishing sites that leave you in awe.

We loved this tour thanks to Eleonora, our lead tour guide who single handedly managed close to 50 people and conducted the tour both in English and Spanish. Eleonora gave us an overview of the history of the places we were to visit while on the bus to each location. She took us to the best points of interest and allow us free time to explore each site on our own with a specific time to return to the designated meeting point. The towns of Verona and Sirmione were lovely. In Verona we got to have a delicious lunch at Caffe Dante and admire the arena in the main piazza. The best part was the Lake Garda boat cruise and the delicious gelato that Eleonora took us to in Sirmione. We definitely recommend this combined day trip when you're in Milan and hopefully you'll have Eleonora as your tour guide. We also want to give a special thanks to our tour bus driver, Roberto, who drove us safely to and from each site.

Unfortunately not worth the significant amount of money and not recommended for kids, injured or older people.

It was a late start waiting for the driver and the bus was very run down - air conditioner didn’t work at all and many of the seats were broken. The guide was nice but walked way too fast without ever checking if the whole group was actually with her, and was unfortunately dismissive when we tried to tell her. No point in using the receivers because she was always out of range. Lake Garda and the boat trip were lovely but that’s pretty much it. Definitely would not recommend for kids or older people, and definitely feel like we paid way too much for what ended up being a bus ride on a poor quality bus and a boat trip.

Recommend tour

Great experience, highly recommended, the guide Elno was excellent. The air conditioning on the bus could have been improved, it was weak for a hot day
