Marco Made the Vatican Come Alive

We had an incredible experience on the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica tour with Enjoy Rome. Our guide, Marco Fiorellino, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and artwork of the Vatican. Rather than simply walking us through the museums, he helped us notice details we would have completely missed on our own. One of our favorite moments was when Marco stopped at the famous Resurrection tapestry and had everyone move from side to side to watch Christ’s eyes appear to follow you. Seeing that illusion firsthand was unforgettable! It’s little moments like that that made the tour so engaging and memorable. Marco also did an excellent job navigating one of the busiest attractions in the world while keeping the group together and on schedule. Our initial check-in felt a little abrupt, but once the tour began, that was quickly forgotten thanks to Marco’s professionalism and enthusiasm. If you’re visiting the Vatican, I highly recommend this tour—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Marco as your guide. He truly helped make this one of the highlights of our trip to Rome.

Excellent

Excellent tour. Patricia has moved us through the crowds very easily, and as the tour guide she was able to take shortcuts through the crowds. She was tremendously knowledgeable.

Marco for the win!

Marco was awesome! My young family and I had a good time, he was engaging and very well informed. He was thoughtful about his group (especially my young daughter). We made appropriate stops and quick access to Sistine chapel!

GUIDE MADE THE TOUR

Paolo was extremely knowledgeable and had context, history and knowledge of every piece and item as we walked through. Some guides would walk passed an item or give just give a basic generalized narrative, but he was detailing with dates and pertinent information about every statue, art, etc, EVEN pictorial carpets, and even who, what, where, when and how inspiration. He’s the sort of guide you pray you get, and paid for.
