highly recommend!

Our personal tour of the Skellig Ring and Valentia Island with Ted Kennedy was simply fantastic! His stories, knowledge of the area, personal touches made for a wonderful half day tour. Handing the driving over to a pro for a day and just immersing ourselves in the area was an added luxury.... not to mention a yummy stop for local chocolate!

Excellent and beautiful tour with the lovely Ted.

We booked a tour for my birthday as it was our first time visiting Kerry. Ted was lovely and knew everything and everyone. The route he took was absolutely gorgeous and he was nothing but patient and hospitable to our requests. Ted also has a great sense of humour and had us all laughing the entire tour. I would definitely recommend and we would definitely go again on one of his tours.

A wonderful trip

Ted was an excellent tour guide. He drove us around Valentia Island and gave us insights into the history of different sites and attractions. He even gave us a private tour of the lighthouse, where he used to work. He's an absolute gentleman. He's warm, friendly, knowledgeable, witty, full of laughter and is a great pleasure to be around. Thank you Ted, we'll definitely come back again.

Best yet

I have had 2 tours of Ireland and this was the best yet. Valentia Island is a gem of Ireland. My guide not only gave a tour he introduced everyone to local residents giving the tour a complete additional dimension. One would never know there could be so many interesting things on one island.Brilliant idea, brilliant. Now have friends in Ireland.

Priceless local knowledge

Ted Kennedy – a retired lighthouse keeper - is great! His tours give you that priceless local knowledge. We first went to Valentia based on rumors of distant ancestry from there, and spent a couple of days with Ted exploring and meeting people. On our second much longer visit, even though we’d rented our own car, we continued to have Ted take us around on local and extended trips. Our whole family was visiting, and we did a day long tour of Dingle Peninsula and saw many things we would not have discovered on our own. He knows the families and the history and is willing to work with you to go way off the beaten path. I’d recommend Ted’s tours to anyone, but in particular to those interested in history or genealogy.
