Traveler reviews
Amazing experience- bucket list tick!
Visiting the USS Midway Museum was absolutely amazing! After wanting to visit for so long, it definitely did not disappoint. Watching the introductory video in the cinema room and having a wonderful volunteer explain parts of the ship and its history was a fantastic start to the tour. We then spent hours exploring all of the different decks and honestly could have done with even longer! The staff and volunteers were all so lovely — they really make the experience with their enthusiasm, friendliness and knowledge. The ship itself is incredibly well preserved and so interesting to walk around. It’s also great value for money and in a brilliant location to explore the surrounding area afterwards. I would 100% return!
Very Impressive to Sea
We toured the midway museum, which is of course the aircraft carrier itself with a lot of modifications. But it is a great place to take the family with photo ops galore. A lot of veterans who served on this boat are part of the tour. Which is really nice. It’s a magnificent thing to behold. And the whole thing is done very well. There’s also a gift shop and a pretty nice restaurant where the whole family can find something to eat like fish and chips or pizza or sandwiches. I strongly recommend it.
A walk through history.
Informative, Awesome, living history. Docents are well versed, and entertaining. Good personal stories, to go with the bigger story, that is Midway.
Wonderful day
Was a lot of walking but well worth it. Don’t miss the POW room off upper deck downstairs. A lot of people walked right by was very interesting. Hard a great time. Very friendly Volunteers
