Full description

Experience an Upper Clear Creek rafting trip and thrilling Via Ferrata all in one day for the adventure of a lifetime! Start the day rafting the thrilling whitewater of Upper Clear Creek. Starting high in the canyon, you’ll encounter 30 major rapids on this 8-mile trip dropping an incredible 1,300 vertical feet. This continuous, steep, technical section will keep your paddle moving and your heart thumping as you crash through pulsing Class IV rapids. As you marvel at the beautiful Colorado scenery, keep a lookout for Big Horn Sheep, river otters, deer, and other native wildlife. Next, you'll reach new heights on our exciting Via Ferrata course, where you will use a combination of ladders, rungs, rails, cables, and bridges to move across and up a cliff face, climbing high above Idaho Springs and the Chicago Creek. Our Via Ferrata course also includes several ziplines and an exciting freefall!

We had a wonderful time zip lining. Our guides, Sienna and Quinn, were funny, talkative, happy, and overall awesome! They made our zip line tour fly by. They also were very willing to help us in any way needed when we got locked out of our car. All of the staff members were caring and willing to lend a hand if needed. Would definitely recommend!

My sister and I had an mazing experience on the zipline course! Meghan and Julia were awesome guides and informative to keep everyone safe! I would 100% go again! The course is not too high up, but does require a small hike to the first course. Half day is 6 courses, the last one being the shortest.This course requires the skill of handbraking, which can prove challenging….

A huge shoutout to the crew at AVA Zipline. From the beginning they went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best. Cameron and Kyle did an outstanding job going over all the safety parts of ziplining and once out on the course they knocked it out of the park! We would HIGHLY recommend AVA to anyone in the Idaho Springs area!
