Itinerary
Meet your fellow travelers and the tour leader at the starting point in Florence (Piazzale Montelungo) and find a comfortable place on your bus. As you pass through the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves of the Chianti region enjoy the anecdotes shared by your tour leader. Built upon hills, Siena is likely Italy's loveliest medieval city whose historic centre is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Follow your local guide through the winding, narrow cobbled streets and discover the magnificent architecture from the 13th Century.
Our guided tour starts from Piazza del Campo, which is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful squares in Italy thanks to its architecture, the Mangia tower and its unique shell shape. Piazza del Campo is the civic heart of Siena, and the place where the famous Palio horse race takes place twice annually.
Pass by: Dominating Piazza del Campo, the Mangia Tower is a symbol of Siena's grandeur with its striking 87 metres in height.
Pass by: Our guided tour ends in front of the impressive Siena Cathedral, a stunningly beautiful building of Gothic Romanesque architecture.
Afterwards, take a break for a 3-course lunch at a delightful, family-run estate. Savor the delicious Tuscan products paired with fine wines produced by the estate itself.
After lunch, we move to San Gimignano, the little Manhattan of the Middle Ages. The numerous medieval towers form an unforgettable skyline and offer an impressive view of the town from the surrounding valley.
Head to Piazza della Cisterna, at the heart of San Gimignano’s historic old town, and taste the world-famous and award-winning gelato from Gelateria Dondoli.
The last stop of your memorable day trip is Pisa with its uniquely beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987.
Before heading back to Florence, don't forget to take a funny posing photo "holding up" the Leaning Tower of Pisa! The admission fee to the Leaning Tower of Pisa is not included, it costs approximately €20 per person. Children under 8 years old are not allowed to climb the Tower.
The square is dominated by four great religious edifices: the Pisa Cathedral, the Pisa Baptistry, the Campanile, commonly known as the Leaning Tower, and the Camposanto Monumentale
At the end of the day, reunite with your travel companions and return to Florence in the late afternoon.

Tuscany Day trip
The trip with Leo was fantastic. Pisa, wine tasting, San Giamgano , and Siena were all outstanding. The driver and Leo provided an amazing day. A lot of information shared and just enough time for an initial visit to these sights. I highly recommend the tour and Leo. Well done Ciao Florence and team.

I do jot recommend Ciao Florence Tours
I do not recommend Ciao Florence Tours. I booked a semi-private tour and received confirmation that it would proceed the following day. Less than 12 hours before the scheduled start, I was informed the tour was cancelled due to "logistical issues. But can offer same tour in large variation." In reality, the tour was cancelled because another couple had not booked, and the company chose not to proceed with the semi-private option. When I asked about the larger group tour, I was told there was a price difference and that I would be refunded the next day (the day of the tour). After explaining I had paid in US dollars, I was asked "So would you like to cancel & be refunded?" I agreed in good faith, relying on the information provided. At 7:34 AM the day of the tour, I requested proof of the refund and was told "yes, of course." By 5:47 PM, with the tour almost concluded, I followed up again. I was then told "so tomorrow we are going to start the refund process but it takes from 6 - 8 working days, you won't receve anything in this time frame please contact us again." So I have ti yet again follow up on the refund. This directly contradicted what I had been told the day before. Had I known this, I would not have proceeded. The payment had already been taken, and I only agreed to the change based on their assurances. If the service could not be delivered, it should never have been offered. Expecting customers to wait 6–8 business days for a refund in these circumstances is unacceptable. I requested the refund be processed immediately. Instead of resolving the issue, my messages were ignored and I was asked to leave feedback. When I explained the urgency of the refund and stated that failure to process it would leave me no choice but to leave a negative review, I received the response "if you plan to stay in Florence more than just a day, book again & get 20% off." I requested the refund again and have since received no response and no refund. The tour itself runs for 11.5 hours, yet food and drinks are not allowed on the bus. Rather than managing waste sensibly, the focus appears to be on maximising profit. This includes cancelling a more expensive semi-private tour, pushing customers into a much larger group of nearly 60 people, and keeping the price difference. You often hear warnings about pickpockets in Florence. Experiences like this are no better. Extremely disappointing.
