This tour offers you the opportunity to join Sami guides for a reindeer sledding ride (about 25-30 minutes) through the valley and along the coast. You'll feed a herd of over 300 reindeer, and then enter a traditional Sami 'gamme' for a warm meal cooked over an open fire. The tour concludes with storytelling about the Sami culture and history, as well as a joik performance (traditional Sami folk songs). The experience includes return bus transfer from central Tromsø, knowledgeable English-speaking guides, a warm traditional Sami meal with hot drinks and cookies, and opportunities to test lasso throwing (not on real reindeer). Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meal options are available.
