Itinerary
The sightseeing tour of Rome begins in the heart of the historic center at Largo di Torre Argentina - the spot where Julius Caesar was famously assassinated. We enter the ghetto via the picturesque Piazza Mattei, stopping at the beautiful Fontana delle Tartarughe to admire its three different kinds of colored marble and learning of its romantic past. We immerse ourselves in the history of one of the most ancient Jewish quarters in the world, as the tales of its inhabitants, interwoven with those of Roman citizens are still written on the walls of the neighborhood.
Our route takes us past the synagogue (one of the largest in Europe) as we cross over Tiber Island enjoying fantastic views of Rome’s many bridges, before finally arriving in Trastevere. The most popular, bohemian quarter of the historic center (where you can find the beautiful church of Santa Maria) is occupied by artists, authors and lovers of Roman night life.
After some wandering and people-watching, we cross back over the Tiber via the Ponte Sisto, passing by the Piazza Farnese Palace and finally arriving at Campo de’ Fiori. This small square - loved by locals and filled with street artists, bustling cafes and live music is the perfect ending to this charming tour

Great tour and tour guide
Stephanie our tour guide was wonderful. We enjoyed walking through Rome's old Jewish Ghetto and the Trastevere and taking all the views. Stephanie pointed out to us some many points of interest and were impressed by the little plaques embedded in the pavement that brought back to us those terrible times when roman Jews were arrested and sent to concentration camps, something easily missed if it were not pointed out by the guide. We even learned how to drink water from a roman fountain, roman style. A wonderful tour and a wonderful guide.
Wonderful tour!
Stephanie was the best tour guide we had in Rome! I was amazed at how knowledgeable she was and was so good fielding questions from people on the tour. It was really nice to learn about a different part of Roman history that you would not normally get touring all the other major sites. I would highly recommend this tour, again Stephanie was phenomenal - I wish I could have taken her all around Rome with me!
Great tour! We enjoyed getting to...

Great tour! We enjoyed getting to see both the quieter and busier parts of Trastevere. We enjoyed learning about the history and how the locals live far from the maddening crowds. Thank you.

Excellent and knowledgeable guide...

Excellent and knowledgeable guide. We did this in the late afternoon, so it wasnt anything like a half-day, but it was the right amount of time to see the Jewish Ghetto and to learn about life in Rome for Jewish people.
