There’s no better place to dive into authentic Italian dishes and drinks than Rome’s Trastevere neighborhood. From enoteca to osteria, you’ll get a true flavor of what makes Rome’s cuisine so unique and delicious. Start the evening like an Italian getting to know your local guide and small group of travelers (12 people max) over a glass of wine or prosecco paired with cured meats and cheeses from the region. After, pop by a family-run restaurant making the best supplì in town for over 40 years on your way to try Rome's beloved cocktail, the aperol spritz, at an iconic neighborhood institution. Take a short walk to a cozy wine bar to sample three types of bruschette with a glass of red and white wine. Then, sit down at a typical trattoria for a family-style pasta dinner and more wine. No trip to Rome is complete without gelato! Enjoy a cup or cone before parting ways with your guide. You’ll end the tour with invaluable insight into how to eat like a local for the rest of your visit. Stop At: Bar San Calisto Description: The next spot is practically a Roman monument in itself! One of Trastevere’s most beloved bars, this spot is always packed with locals which makes it the perfect place to learn about traditional Italian drinks. Sip on a spritz as you hear the fascinating story behind Italy’s iconic aperitif. Admission: Free Time: 15 minutes
Stop At: Piazza Santa Maria
Description: Take your spritz to the beautiful piazza next door where you'll see the Basilica of Our Lady. This is said to be the oldest church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Rome and it was probably the first official place of Christian worship.

This tour meets 10 minutes prior to the start time. No refunds can be provided for late arrivals or no-shows.
From August 6th 2021, all Italy sites we visit will require clients and guides alike to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test completed within 48 hours prior to entry. Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the activity starts

Cancellations received greater than 24 hours prior to tour commencement are fully refundable. Cancellations received within 24 hours of tour commencement are nonrefundable. Amendment requests are subject to availability and price changes. Late arrivals and no-shows are non-refundable. This is applicable to any tour participant that fails to arrive or arrives after tour departure.

If you’re reading this, book it now! You’ll be one of the first on the boat and get the best spot before anyone else. Daniela (aka “Daniel”) treated us exceptionally well from start to finish. Her knowledge of the falls and the stories behind them was the perfect balance of informative and entertaining. She keeps you laughing throughout the tour and enjoys the experience right alongside you as if it were her first time seeing it. 10/10 — I would recommend this tour to anyone. As an added bonus, our group had only four people, which made the experience absolutely incredible and much more personal. Thanks again, Daniel! 😉
