Itinerary
We will leave at 9 in the morning for the selected accommodations in Pucón to our base on the Trancura River, depending on the activity chosen.
We will have a brief safety talk about the correct use of the equipment and then we will embark on the adventure with our instructor. Depending on the option selected you can: Río Trancura Alto: you will enjoy the maximum adrenaline and most exciting raft adventure, sailing through class IV and V rapids. This activity is the most exciting you can find in Pucón. Río Trancura Bajo: This activity is not more dangerous and is suitable for children, youth and adults, who can enjoy a pleasant adventure. Come and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and wild birds of the area, while you glide through the Class III rapids.
Once our activity is finished, we will be returning to our selected accommodations in Pucón.

Fantastic day out, fun and exhilarating, very professional guides.
Thoroughly recommend this rafting trip, we were initially a bit concerned since they said the language was only Spanish but just about everyone spoke very good English which was needed since there was a lot of technical directions. Jose was our skipper and he did a great job getting us down without incident and also providing great commentary and tips on other things to do around Pucon. Make sure you sign up for the photos, they capture everything from some great vantage points! Thanks again for a brilliant day out.
Best Rafting Guides in Pucón
If you book directly with this rafting company on the street in Pucón they are a great value (Don't go through middlemen companies who double the price). This outfit was both professional and flexible when we needed to reschedule. Their super competent guides will get you down the solid class four river section (if you choose the upper river trip) safely so you can enjoy the excitement of the whitewater knowing you're in good hands. These guys are pros. They know that river. Also, they fully document your trip with GoPro type cameras at ...no extra charge! Their guides were friendly and fun. Rafting Pucón is the best rafting value in Pucón.
White water rafting with Go Pucon, Chile
We booked with Go Pucon (gopucon.com). Just over £20 each, which covered transport and use of wetsuits & boots. Overcast day after some rain, but we had great fun. Rapids on the lower ride are grades 2 & 3 - so exhilarating, but not hazardous (no-one fell out). Very friendly crew. Our guide was an excellent chap named Nefta and he sent us a load of Go-Pro images and videos of the ride afterwards (no extra charge). In our 60’s with only one good hip and six real heart-valves between us. Had a blast!

Great fun. Exhilarating- but not hazardous (rapids were only grades 2 or 3). Our steersman, Nefta, sent us some excellent images and videos later (no extra charge) and the whole trip (including transport, wetsuits & boots) cost the equivalent of £20 each. Highly recommended.
DANGER, Please READ BEFORE BOOKING
DANGER, avoid this tour group. Please READ BEFORE BOOKING. After placing our reservation for Bajo (lower) option on the Trancura river with Tangol Tours, we were informed that this trip does not come supplied with any gear. That's what I said, literally nothing. We're not just talking no wetsuit or neoprene shoes, we're talking NO helmet, NO paddle, and NO LIFE JACKET!!!! Good luck trying to get your money back. Just . . . just absolutely dumb struck. What's funnier is that the water levels were so high that the upper Trancura River was not even runnable and that everyone was only rafting the lower section with some rather vigorous class 3 rapids. Can you just imagine that this Tangol Tours group sends you down river into rapids without any safety gear. Tangol Tours is not even located in Chile, it's in Argentina. How such an irresponsible company is allowed to advertise on TripAdvisor is waaaaaayyy beyond me. Definitely avoid this scam tour group at all costs.
